Good morning ladies - I really hope you don't mind me barging into your group like this.

LOL @ Joo-ste: (yes us older mommies ...what will they be calling us at the docs... oh yes ...geriatric moms! to answer your questions - this little miracle was planned (hubby and I were both married before and we both have two kids each out of those unions - so we thought it would be cool to add one more to the blended mix

I had the loop removed last year, fell pregnant straight away but that was a CP and then later I fell pregnant again which ended in the MMC. I then told hubby that we can give it till my Birthday month (and when I turn 41) if nothing happens by then - I was going to 'close down the factory". and besides we had 4 beautiful kids already.
But God had other plans for us! We are both happy about the turn of events... it's just now - it's like we are starting all over again!

So all in all I'd say it took about a year.

I went for my first check up on the 13/04 and we saw a strong heartbeat and very active baby.

I am so glad that the scans went well.

I will be going for second beta this morning, just for my own peace of mind. First scan is only booked for 19 May, so long time still. I have also changed gynies cause of the old one missing the ectopic and just not seeming to care to much. Hopefully the new one is better.

Do any of you have cramping? I am having period like cramps about 5 times a day. trying not to be paranoid.

Going on holiday today, whoop whoop.

@TCS - Yesterday I was meant to be 7 weeks and only measured at 5weeks 6 days so I was very worried, Im glad to hear you are experiencing the same and all is fine. Im finding comfort in the fact that we saw and heard the little heartbeat.

How are you ladies doing? My bloat is subsiding and no morning sickenss but seeing as I'm only 6 weeks today it may hit this week.

@Pinky - when is your first scan?

About a week behind. I asked the Doc about it. He said based on dates im over 7 weeks but on measurement in 6 weeks 4 days. He didn't seem concerned at all... he said we will go by the measurement because I was irregular in my period. Also he was happy with the growth from last appointment today...

@TCS - how many days behind did your scan say you are? I also seemed to have ovulated later.

Afm, embracing pregnancy tonight and have put my little calendar up!!
