Hi Ladies,

All went well at scan... Still due around 15/16 May 2017. Sonagrapher measured me one day behimd my original due date. She measured 12.2 weeks and not 12.3 weeks...

All is okay nasal bone is present and NT is 1.8mm. Heartrate a wopping 169bpm.... This baby is very active and jumping around.....

So the songagrapher fees is cash only and not claimable from Med aid which i find weird.... Also the 20week anomally scan will be cash....

Joonsie one can take antibiotics as long as its the prescribed one for pregnant women... I had terrible flu the day I found out i was pregnant and the GP prescribed coughing mixture,antibiotics and something to clear up the sinus and blocked nose...all prescribed to take during pregnancy....

Lariska Wow im glad all went well and congrats on the baby boy... I kinda have a feeling im having another boy too and cant shake this feeling! What a beautiful profile of baby.... Hope you feeling better now.

Lauz Hope you already havent caught that flu by the time you reading this message.....

Mosaneo.... Hope your exams went well.. Try not to stress to much about baby Im sure he/she is doing great... Try the clinics or even a dischem clininc i think its not that much expensive....

AFM The big day has arrived... Going to see baby today hopefully all will go well. I started at work as appointment is only at 14H30 and my husband might not make it sulk....

So nice to hear from you all agàin! O no for flu in this heat!!! Maby you could try putting a nice warm bowl of steam next to your bed or a humidifier to clear up that nose . Try sleeping a little more upright (extra pillow ) .pegisus is a natural remidy meds that you can use during pregnancy they have a sinus or hayfever , or flu one that you can use . They sell them at dischem( little blue boxes with the flying horse on ) . Our baba was streepie jnr the little positive stripe on the preg test .

Joonsie look even with Iliadin you shouldn't go overboard my Gynae did say to only use it if and when necessary and not more than 5 days. As for antibiotics this is how my doctor put it to me, you put more strain on your body by not ridding itself of the flu (for me I had severe middle ear infection) that you actually put more stress on your fetus which in turn could affect them more than the antibiotic. Both my children are perfectly fine today and I was on a course with both.
Baby is just an it or baby no 3 for us hahaha I love your nickname!

Thank you Lauz for the Iliaden info, I was up most of last night trying to sit up and sleep because I'm all blocked up.
Today is day 2, if it gets any worse I will go to my GP, can you take antibiotics while pregnant.

Just out of curiosity what do you ladies call the baby when there is still no gender connected?

We call "it" Bloep because at the 1st scan it was just like a blotch of human hahahahaha
