Sorry to hear about the flu though it is hectic but please if you feel any worse see your GP I did with both my pregnancies and had to go on a course of antibiotics as I was putting more strain on my baby by being ill. But what you doing is good and you can use Iliadin at night to be able to sleep if your nose is blocked!

Mosaneo the clinic in Lyttelton is a wonderful place (don't know if that is accessible to you?) I took my Mom-in-law there for some tests a few weeks ago and wow the service was wonderful, clinic is clean and the staff are very helpful. Maybe you can go have a quick look there at your little one.

AFM: got my 13 week blood test back today and Dr is happy all is normal. I have a bad case of the flu..., Who gets flu in November I ask, Panado and lemon with honey will have to do the trick. any other advise for bad flu at 13 weeks?

I dont think you should be too concered àbout your weight i actually lost weight and my baba is doing great . If by your 2nd trimester you havent picked up any i would start consulting q medical pract . Try to get some reasurance . Take care ! Xxx
Meanwhille my sonographer told me my plastenta is ontop of baby (inbetween my navel area and him ) so i will onyl start to feel kicks and movements round about 20weeks . With those long legs kicking like its his mission maby thats a softer blow lol

Oh wow Mosaneo, you live just around the corner from me I'm in Alberton.
I understand about public clinics etc but aren't there any private clinics that are at least a little cheaper to go for a ultrasound or check up just to make sure you on the right track?
Although if you picking up at least a kg a week then that's more than good as long as you eating!

I was writing Management Information Systems. I stay in soweto and i am so not keen to go to local clinics, they do not treat people well. I just do not like public clinics and hospitals .

Lauz I am barely picking 1kg per week and i have three meals per day. Dinner used to be tough but now i eat normally.

Lariska congrats on your baby boy, sorry you fell ill. hope you are feeling much better now.

Mosaneo are how much weight are you picking up weekly now. Oh those little movements are the best. Where do you stay is it not possible to go to a clinic to at least just get confirmation all is ok to ease your mind.
As Lariska asked what you writing exams for I'm sure you did well!
Oh no Lariska that's aweful! I was ill last week Thursday with what felt like a 24 hour bug as I had terrible stomach cramps but thankfully sleep helped but gosh yours sounds terrible!
Your scan is amazing! What a perfect scan and another boy - congratulations!!!!
Now for Vicky-Lee keep us updated tomorrow!

My scan and day was crazy! I ended up in ER needing drips and injections and meds . Some kind of food allergy or virus . I was dehydrated , vomiting all the way to the scan and back !!! Stomach cràmps and crazyness. Our baby BOY is beautifull , yes another boy heheh . Healthy strong and perfect .
