Well ABi is developing quite a temper!! If she doesn't ger her way - she lets you know that she is not happy about it. Oh and she has learnt how to frown, so now if she is doing something naughty and you say ABI in THE STERN VOICE - she looks at you and FROWNS!!! It is so funny!

Juanita: Your baba is sooo cute! Her hair is beautiful! I see she also has pierced ears - how old was she when you had that done? Too cute!

Abi is still on LActogen - she loves her milk. Will keep her on it for a while still - the extra vits can only be good.

Love that one. Never mind me, just find it funny when young kids say Iv wanted 123 "all my life" & I always smile & think, u hvnt started ur life & smile about how the few yrs they have lived IS all their life. Our lil babies have lived all their lives long life, 12 months....

Iv been with my DH for about 3 yrs & Id never done ANYTHING for him valentines day, so this yr I sent Roses & chocolates to his office. He was sooo shocked!!!
He never cared for valentines but he's always done something for me coz he knows I like it.
He bought me a book bout feng shui beauty. Like how to feng shui ur hair, makeup, clothes & ur personal style so ur chi (energy) can flow. I was sooo touched coz he dsnt bliev or entertain any of that crap (as he calls my love of spiritual, astrological, chi stuff)

Charlotte Im so sorry bout ur relationship, I was expecting u to announce ur engagement!! I can imagine how tough it must b dealing with a break up, with kids involved & dealing with the stress of someone threatning to take ur child away from u!! It must feel like such a betrayal, he of all ppl shld know how much u love ur lil girl!!
Know u will not b a spinster, in time u will find happiness. U mustnt look at urself like that, I know too many ladies who give up on love just bcos they have kids, plz dnt do that.
U will think Im lying but my one cousin had 6, yes, 6 kids before she got married, different fathers & she still found someone who accepted her as she is. Now she has 2 in the marriage & she's only turning 41 this year.

Juanita Ur lil girl is sooo pretty, love the head full of curly locks!!!
Wish I knew what to do with my boys afro, now slowly becoming dreadlocks coz he wont allow a comb, scissor or a clipper near his head. He even feels the scissor when he's sleeping!!!!
Am convinced the must b something akin to Samson going on with his hair. He seems attached to it.

Oh, am so happy this evening. He was struggling to settle for bed time, was grizzling for about 30 min & just fussing. So I went to check his nappy, which was fine. He still cldnt sleep so I just lay nest to him & he instantly fell asleep, didnt even have to hold or pat him.
It made me feel so good, my baby is not a big boy, he's a baby who still needs mommy to b next to him so he can sleep!!!
He's been too independant lately was getting scary...

Not gonna do his b-day party on Sunday coz its been raining a lot this whole week. Had to go buy him clothes coz all his r either wet or dirty & my tumble drier is busted!! So I dnt trust the weather for the party
Also we are moving house this weekend so once we settled I'll see if I shld still bother....

Now some of you might think I'm difficult, but I have never given my kids formula after they've turned one. We switched from breastmilk to cows milk with Jaqi. All of my kids prefers water above fizzy drinks, and coke is seen as an occasional treat, and not the norm. Jaqi loves rooibos tea, iced tea (I don't make the ice tea too strong or too sweet) and she loves milo too. she only drinks from a cup and never had a bottle in her life My other kids all had a bottle till about 2 years old.

Very interesting about the milk, didnt know, thought it was just the fat. Thanx Charlotte.

Leandi was born with loads of hair so i started putting clips in when she was very small so she could get used to it. same with hats. Now when we go out in the sun and she has a hat on, she doesnt pull it off all the time. Latest thing is sunglases. Walks everywhere with them on

Leandi is still on Isomil no 3, and very happy with it. she only has 2 bottles and maybe the odd one throughout the day but thats in a sippy cup. Going to keep her on formula till after winter.

Angel, I would love to see some photos of your baby and of you!

thanks for that...i went to go and look at the labels on the milk...it seems like there is more calcium in 2% milk than full cream milk? very interesting.
Thanks about the tip for the iron. Angelia did have an iron deficiency a few months back (before she was on normal cows milk). Would I give her just normal vitamin c...tablet?

ANGEL - THEY SAY YOU SHOULD NEVER GIVE A CHILD FULL CREAM MILK WHEN YOU TAK EHEM OFF FORMULA BECAUSE IT CONTAINS TOOOOO MUCH CALCIUM. 2% IS BEST. REASON: WHEN YOUR BODY ABSORBS TOO MUCH CALCUIM IT CANNOT ABSORB VITAMIN C WHIH MEANS IT CANNOT ABSORD IRON - THAT WILL MAKE BABY VERY SICK. AMANDALYNN IS BORDER LINE ANEMIC SO I HAD A STRUGGLE WITH THIS FOR MORE THAN A YEAR BEFORE I GOT A DOCTOR WHO ACTUALLY KNEW WHAT SHE WAS DOING.

INTERESTING FACT - IF CHILD HAS LOW IRON COUNT, GIVE VITAMIN C AFTER MEAL THEN 30 MIN LATER GIVE IRON IT ABSORBS BETTER AND ATLEAST MORE THAN A HOUR BEFORE OR AFTER NO CALCIUM.
