Juno - Im so thinking of you in this heat, how is Liam handling it?

I dont feel so alonr anymore, it took me 2 hours 40mins with amandalynn and 1 hour 20 min with Lorelai and the doctor told me im strange because it happend so fast.

I was a Afr Feb mommy.

Charlotte - terribly. Poor boy woke up at 12 ish drenched despite fan and intermittent air con. Drank a straight 300 ml liquid. We (Marius and I) went for a swim at 1 - impossible to sleep in this. HATE it. Not my decision to live in Wellington....how you guys coping as I'm sure it's not that much cooler where you are?

lol me too! Couldn't believe it happened so quickly. One moment a little bit of discomfort, the next full blown labour and I ended up having a c-section anyway..Oh well at least I can say I know what labour feels like

You're not a bad mom, Char... Bith Micayla & Connor had to stay in hospital due to dehydration when they were both just over 2 years old. They had sever gastro that roti virus thing, don't know the proper name. They were dehydrated within 2 hours. Our gp actually said once they were discharged from hospital to give them Powerade, to replace all the lost moisture and soforth. Now whenever our kids get runny tummies we give them Powerade, and it really help. It does not make them hyperactive, at all, just keeps them from dehydrating. Under normal circumsatnces I won't allow the powerade though lol.

How was your evening last night. CPT heat is so awful I cant sleep at night.

So Lorelai has Gastro or something as her tummy is running and she keeps throwing up. So im the type of moms that slef medicates them at home for a day or 2 before I take them to the dotor, a) because Ive had practice and morr\e meds in my cupboard than the pharmacy and b) because we are not currently on medical aid and Im so broke its not even funny.

So when she started with the runny tummy and puking on Sunday I gave her meds. she slept okay. Monday she went to my mom with meds and didn't realy get worse or better. Tuesday morning my mom could not take the poo & vommit every where so she said she is taking her to the doctor on our old medical aid and by the time they send it in it will be reactivated again or they will send me a bill and I have 30 days to pay. Awesome

She took her to the doctor and he kinda freak on my mom because she took so long to bring her. she was very badly dehidrated and if we waited till today it would have been a hospital trip.

But he gave her meds and she hasn't had a runny tummy since then.

I feel like the worst mother ever.

EP wow sounds like quite a birth story. I had no idea that one could stay dilated for so long! Not like me who took all of 2 hours to be fully dilated. Not very cool of the midwife...

Well I gave Liam his first cows milk bottle today and he drank it without a word of complaint. I thought it was going to be far more difficult then this!

Juno, it is normal to be a few cm dilated a week or so before labour day with subsequent babies - or so I've been told

I think Jaqi is teething - front teeth this time. She was very niggly last night and would cry when we put her in bed. Eventually went down at about 10h30 and this is a baby who is asleep by 8h30 at the latest... Well, I hope it just teething and not some bug coming on.

Juanita I'm going to wait and see what the paed says - I see him later on in the month. I'm pretty sure it's going to be one of those overnight things as it seems that he's been practicing for ages now. Sounds like Leandi is just about there!
