Morning all

Hope you all had a good weekend.
We went for a braai at a friends house and the kids didnt want to sleep, Arwen only fell asleep on the way home at 5 slept for a hour woke up we had another bath lol coz they were covered in mud before we left, she sat a bit with us then right back to sleep.

Vanya doing well, her tummy has only worked 2 since last Thursday do you ladies remember if its normal??

Justine how are you doing??

Vision you sound really busy, but hope you enjoying it.

Pregnant fairyies how are you all??

To every other super ladies have a wonderful week, only about another week and those long weekends start.

I have a headache and so much work to do so I better get started! I am so sorry if I missed anyone - i read on my phone and then reply on the pc so i forget stuff Just have so much on my plate at the moment but I will get through it!

The 'Middle Wife' by an Anonymous 2nd grade teacher


I've been teaching now for about fifteen years. I have two kids myself,but the best birth story I know is the one I saw in my own second grade classroom a few years back.


When I was a kid, I loved show-and-tell. So I always have a few sessions with my students. It helps them get over shyness and usually, show-and-tell is pretty tame. Kids bring in pet turtles, model airplanes, pictures of fish they catch, stuff like that. And I never, ever place any boundaries or limitations on them. If they want to lug it in to school and talk about it, they're welcome.


Well, one day this little girl, Erica, a very bright, very outgoing kid, takes her turn and waddles up to the front of the class with a pillow stuffed under her sweater.


She holds up a snapshot of an infant. 'This is Luke, my baby brother, and I'm going to tell you about his birthday.'


'First, Mom and Dad made him as a symbol of their love, and then Dad put a seed in my Mom's stomach, and Luke grew in there. He ate for nine months through an umbrella cord.'


She's standing there with her hands on the pillow, and I'm trying not to laugh and wishing I had my camcorder with me. The kids are watching her in amazement.


'Then, about two Saturdays ago, my Mom starts saying and going, 'Oh, Oh, Oh, Oh!' Erica puts a hand behind her back and groans. 'She walked around the house for, like an hour, 'Oh, oh, oh!' (Now this kid is doing a hysterical duck walk and groaning.)


'My Dad called the middle wife. She delivers babies, but she doesn't have a sign on the car like the Domino's man. They got my Mom to lie down in bed like this.' (Then Erica lies down with her back against the wall.)


'And then, pop! My Mom had this bag of water she kept in there in case he got thirsty, and it just blew up and spilled all over the bed, like psshhheew!' (This kid has her legs spread with her little hands mimicking water flowing away. It was too much!)


'Then the middle wife starts saying 'push, push,' and 'breathe, breathe.
They started counting, but never even got past ten. Then, all of a sudden, out comes my brother. He was covered in yucky stuff that they all said it was from Mom's play-center, (placenta) so there must be a lot of toys inside there. When he got out, the middle wife spanked him for crawling up in there.'


Then Erica stood up, took a big theatrical bow and returned to her seat.

I'm sure I applauded the loudest. Ever since then, when it's show-and-tell day, I bring my camcorder, just in case another ' Middle Wife' comes along.

Marilu, dont give up hope just yet. I agree with what Nayeela said. I also dont change nappies easily at night, but M does tend too p out of the nappy if it moved out of place. Ons gaan nie n kamer vir baba doen nie want baba gaan in elk geval by ons in die kamer of bed wees so vind nou geen nut daarin nie. Ek gaan slaap enige tyd tussen 12 en 2 gewoonlik

M fell against the corner of the bed tonight very close to her eye, poor child. really hope it wont turn blue they can be so clumsy sometimes. We also went to the park today and what a bad idea that was! It was extremely hot and all we could do was sit and play in the sand and sweat,lol. I really dont like the summer

Lizel - Am relieved to hear that the HCG is looking good! Hoping that you can relax over the weekend.

Marilu - Dont fel despondent just yet. You might have made a great impression on them and who knows you might well still be in the running

Skitter - Great that MS is not lurking anymore.

Regarding the modeling, K will mainly be used for catalogues and in adverts and billboards. We are going to be focusing on photoshoots for now and get her face out there Lol!

We are now on agency number 5. They have all gone crazy over her pictures and I might even get them to scrap the fees that they normally charge Lol! No agencies have turned her down in Cape Town yet. I am meeting with each of them next week and am in a great position right now as I hold the child that they want so I will be walking out with the best deal for her

Anyways girls, am heading home now to pick up my soon to be model haha. will keep you all updated on the progress and lets hope I have a little super star in the making here
