Hello julle :)

Deja, I REFUSED to get Mignione a walking ring (I hate walking rings and jolly jumpers) until we were in Edgars the one day and Renier put her in a walking ring there and she LOVED it. So the next day I was shopping on Gumtree for one :) Ek moet se, noudat sy kruip is die loopring my uitkoms, want as ek haar moet besig hou in een spot terwyl ek gou iets doen, dan sit ek haar in die loopring. So sy's maar baie min daarin, seker so maksimum 20min 'n dag. Sy't nog nie uitgefigure dat sy actually kan LOOP daarin nie, sy sit en 'spring' daarin en skrik eintlik as sy die slag actually vorentoe beweeg :)

Patricia, it's so cute that Adam chases you!! I chase Mignione when she's crawling and then she tries really hard to go extra quick and then she gets this cute speedwobble cause then her co-ordination of 'right arm together with left leg' goes a bit haywire..and of course she creams at the top of her voice!!!

Marijke, jy moet regtig kom kuier.

Sy wil he ek moet heeltyd by haar wees, as ek wegloop dan begin sy huil.

We also said we wouldnt get one until he played in Michaels one when we visited ANds 3 weeks ago.. We let him play in it as an activity and not as a babysitter.. He absolutely loves it.. He chases me around the house.. I must hide and he finds me and goes "WAAH" to give me a fright.. He giggles like crazy when I "jump" exaggerated..

We allow him 10 minutes in the morning and 10 in the evening..

I must agree it has also made him stronger for his crawling.. He gives a few crawls but getting stronger every day..

And STILL NO TEETH!!

I think the problem everyone has with it is with lazy mommies like me who tend to overdo these helpful devises! The whole debate is the same with TV, jolly jumpers prams etc.

I know of a little girl who at 9 months couldn't do anything except just lay on the floor till they found out that the day mother she goes to keeps her strapped in her snug & safe baby carrier the whole day!

Marijke, taht's what I also want to know. Doesn't it actually makes them stronger? Because now Nienke is either on the floor sitting or lying or rolling or she is on the hip. I can't see the problem everyone has with a walking ring. Maybe I should just go get her one.

Oh yes and congrats Adele on Tyrens tooth!

Deja she lives in Friesland, a province of The Netherlands. I think its the last time she is coming to visit. She's already 80 years old!

And I also didn't want to get B a walking ring because I really want her to crawl. She has strong arms but it was always like she didn't know what to do with her legs (or hips), like she was just dragging them around. So after having a walking ring for less than a week spending just a couple of minutes in it per day she has gotten a lot stronger in her behind and started doing a leopard crawl on friday where she actually plants her foot and pushes herself forward and she goes rather far with that crawl. She even chases the dog or cat!

Hey, I just saw that B was 7 months old yesterday. Didn't know since there isn't a 31st this month!

I have to say Adele and Kiara, we've had a bumpy ride with B so far. Around 5 months she started changing and now every day is a joy. I really think I should write a blog about how different babies are. Yesterday my sisters little one was 'difficult' he was moaning a bit. The difference is my definition of difficult and someone elses is so different. I find myself rolling my eyes at other mommies who tell me how 'difficult' their baby is and I always suggest we swop babies so they know the definition of difficult!

My grandmother is doing really well considering she was in 2 degrees cold just saturday. She had a hip replacement last year so she is walking with a bit more effort but its the first time she's met all her great grandchildren. She was here in 2004 when my sister and I got married, so since then 5 babies have been born!
