Justine, sorry to hear about everything that went wrong. It most definitely is not your fault that this is happening! You are a great mom and Im sure you are doing your best for the kids. Im just happy you know what is wrong and that he has meds. Hope you find a place for him to stay soon. xxx

Hi Ladies,

First off, I would just like to thank each and everyone f you for all the messages and kind words and support over the last week. I was not expecting Kyle to be admitted on Saturday but after going to the dr, he was not happy at all.

This is going to be a long post but want to try explain what had happened and what is wrong with Kyle. We had an appointment at the dr for Saturday

When I got home on Friday, I took the boys with to my friends house. My friend was saying Kyle looks fatter in his face but I didnt notice, when we got home, I looked at him and his face looked swollen so I had opened up his mouth and OMW, I was shocked at how his gums looked. The only way I can explain it, is it looked like his gum were growing over his teeth, thats how swollen they were and thats the reason he wasnt eating or drinking. It wasnt like that in the morning so it must of happened during the day.

Got to the DR and he checked Kyle out and said he had ear infection and bronchitus. I asked him to check in his mouth and he was shocked to see it. He said his tonsils were so swollen and rotten. Tonsilitus again. He has said Kyle had picked up a bacteria and thats whats wrong with his gums. Her said we needed to go to the hospital immediatly as he was dehydrating. When I got in the car, I burst out crying and asked BF what am I doing wrong that my baby is so sick and bless his dear heart, he said I have done nothing wrong, I am a perfect mom, we will find out what is making him sick.

Get to the hospital. They tried put a drip in his hand but couldnt get a vein. Put it in his foot. Lab came and took blood samples. He was so miserable. I slept at the hospital from Saturday till Wednesday. Sunday we did x-rays. Luckily, the lab is at the hospital so results were ready by Monday. Kyle's immune system is weak, he hasnt learnt how to fight off germs. He also has has bad allergies and that is why he is always sick. X-rays showed he has an infection is his lungs. We started on the injections to build up his immune system. He is allergic to pollen, house dust and things like pollution so its really things we cannot really avoid. His gums got infected because he more than likely breathed him goggas that had one into his mouth. Tests also revealed that he has baby asthma. The ENT said we cant take tonsils out now

He only started eating properly on Tuesday. DR said that if he eats properly, we could go home. Wednesday we went home. I have been at home with him ever since. He will now be going on chronic meds for asthma and allergies and meds to build up his immune system. He is doing alot better now, still on meds but the dr has strongly advised us to keep him out of school. I am not sure what to do now with him. The whole 2 weeks that he was not eating and not really drinking, he had lost 2 kg. He used to be 13.4 and now only weighs 11.4.

Although it was a very scary experience, I think I held myself together nicely and didnt cry not once in front of him. I am so happy that we now know what is making him sick and we can work on it.

Lizel, I can still have a few drinks and feel well, but the vodca shooters got me bad! usually only have jaggerbombs. Hope your day got better

Marilu, I have never got hangover in my life....lucky in that regard so was feeling real chirpy this morning sounds like a good idea of that weekend. You just have to get babysitter (if I was closer I would help)

We had such a nice time at the park tonight and M was dancing for about an hour before bed. Silly bunny posted videos of it on FB.
Just did my last bundle of washing, so let me go hang it
