Cinds so glad to hear that Jesse is ok now!!! It must have been the worst moment ever! What is the treatment for the febrile fits? Do you just have to watch out for any fevers and try to stop it from getting high or does it mean with every fever she's going to get she might get a fit? Shoo, that's really hectic! Thinking of you xxx

Our plan for the weekend..tomorrow there's another kiddies bday party but we're still contemplating wether we going (first want to see if M's nose clears up, don't want her to share her germs haha). Sunday we're hopefully doing nothing and Monday we're braaiing at friends

Hi Moomies

Thanks so much for all the prayers and smses and phone calls, jesse was discharged yesterday from hospital and she is back to normal. On Tuesday i left work at about 3 and came home she was spiking fevers as i said on monday/tuesday, anyhow, when i got home the 2 of us went for a walk, took her nanny to halfway down the road as she was leaving and then we went home. Hubby started supper and Jesse was playing, then she started getting cold and came to sit by me, so i got her a blankie and covered her and kept her on my chest while we were sitting and watching tv and Jesse's lips started going blue and she stopped blinking, i started shouting at hubby and he took her and put her over his lap and started hitting her on her back (she never ate anything though) and i told him to put his finger down her throat cause it looked like she was choking but nothing came out. She eventually came too and we rushed to hospital.

They took blood tests and we were put in isolation as they didn't know what was wrong and she was still spiking fevers. We saw the paed the next morning and he said that Jesse suffers from febrile fits and is high risk for the next 5 years (till she's 6) and she had a throat infection, but there was no signs of anything, no runny nose, cough or anything just the fevers. But thank goodness all is ok now, and she is back to normal, but i tell u it was the scariest time of our life!!!!

Sorry for not responding to smses or phone calls but the moment i wanted to Jesse was screaming, she does not like anybody in a nurses outfit at all!

Hello Skitterling, Marilu, Vision, Deja, Charlene, Cinds, Elrike, Bahia, Lonie and anyone I may have missed in my speedy post.

From my side, L's fevers were gone yesterday but he was very restless last night. Kept on waking up crying...hope he is not coming down with something..

My family coming for lunch tomorrow so I will have cake and sweeties (a week early) and we have a family photoshoot so lots to look forward to this weekend.
