Hello everyone!

We went shopping yesterday and today..and bought a bed but only getting it tomorrow after work..can't wait :)

My sister's baby is home again and doing good, she came out of the hospital this afternoon!

Mignione has got a hectic snot nose and cough. Ai, I'm trying to avoid antibiotics so I'm trying to flush her nose with saline solution the whole time..what a mission! She's 'stepping so nicely now :) :) It's so cute to see..she walks alot better when she thinks we're not looking :woohoo:

About the medicine, I won't give my baby medicine that if I know that it's addictive. Just my personal opinion. Charlene, hoekom se hul is ibuprofen sleg vir baba's?? Ek gee m BAIE nurofen..die dok het gese dit help die beste vir haar oorpyn omdat dit help teen inflammasie??

Claire..I finally received the No Cry sleep book! I't's really an awesome book, give you so much info and it really works! I love the whole trend of the book..they constantly say that all babies are different and you have to do whats right for YOU. So glad to hear that Colby is sleeping so much better!!

Skitter, dit klink asof M jou regtig baie besig hou :)

Cinds, hope you feel better soon even though you are still taking the nasty meds :(

Can't remember the rest of the posts :( Renier is in a hurry to get into bed so I have to go...will read through the rest of the posts tomorrow and reply then :)

Enjoy your eve!!

I know Skitter! I wish I could vote, but that just wouldn't be right! :)
They are all adorable!

My hubby is away AGAIN until Thursday so we are all alone again. :(

Skitter, klink of M omtrent besig is. Dis goed, sy klink te oulik vir woorde.

Nienke net so besig, staan tot op teen die spieel en val nog gereeld. Dan is dit 'n vreeslike tranedal. Weet nie wat die bure moet dink nie!

Hello everyone!!!!

Have been quiet lately, sorry, but Micheala is super busy!
Today she realised that if she pushes the walking ring against the couches she can clib on and get the remotes, phones and blinds!

Other than that she climbs onto the bed and off the whole time and onto the bedside tables.....and into all the drawers. Ai, as if opening and throwing everything out wasnt enough!

She was very difficult yesterday, crying and clingy, but her usual happy self again today. was so happy!

As with the sleeping, she wakes up 1-3 times a night, not that much actually, but when she wakes up she sits up immediately and asks to be taken out or stand with arms outstretched to me......so I pick her up and it usually takes 5-10 minutes for her to be asleep enough to be put in the cot. I also do not believe in the cry it out method. But I do believe they have to cry to learn how to express their emotions.

I read all the posts but cant remember now.....but thinking of Charlene with the sick babies, hope they are better soon.

Micheala had a 2year old friend here tonight, and wow he is rough! He drags her by her shirt to come and play with him!

Deja, how can we possibly vote? They are all so damn cute!!!!

Have a lovely evening everyone :)

Yay for Colby!

Nienke woke three times last night, which is quite a lot. Granted, the last time was at 6am and then she slept till 7am.

Claire, I can't do the cry-out method, just a personal choice. I have read so many negative things about it, but I know it works wonders for some.

Thanks Charlene! You know that was like the only advice I got to help him sleep through. Stop feeding him at night. When I did try the cry it out method, all I could think is "this goes completely against my instincts, how can it be right?" So, yip, I still feed my son at night and we are both much happier.

Deja, I don't blame you for keeping her in the bed! If my bed was bigger, I would too. I just wasn't getting any sleep though. They say co-sleeping is the best thing for a baby. Teaches them independence (believe it or not) and they land up being better sleepers later on. I can just see you with your 4 kids snuggled up in bed! :P

PS Colby slept from 11-6 last night without making a peep! First time in months! I feel so good!

claire, i love and absolutely adore the fact that you have said and written dot not feed her at night just cause other told you its wrong, do what you are comfortable with doing!

the lady living across the road from us still feeds her 2 yr old son during the night, yes she cant get him off night nappy, but it makes them both happy. so its kinda a pro/con thing...

good luck...
