Nayeela, good luck with K! I honestly hope that the pead can give her meds that help and that she doesn't need to be admitted. Keep trying with the fluids though because you don't want her to dehydrate - then they will admit her anyway to get her on a drip.

Nayeela, What antibiotics did he give her? Is it only the fever or any other symptoms along with that?

Marilu - moenie stres nie. Michayla is presies dieselfde - sweet verskriklik vinnig en maklik sommer haar klere sopnat! Ek is nou nie seker van die grade nie maar soos jy seker weet is dit al Winter in Gauteng. Ek trek vir Stian 'n vessie, langmou hemp, sweetpak en kouse aan in die aand maar hy slaap glad nie onder 'n kombers nie - 5 minute dan skop hy dit af. Vir Michayla trek ek net 'n stel langmou naglere aan (ligte materiaal) die voordeel van haar is sy hou daarvan om haarself in die komberse in te cuddle so dan sweet sy in elk geval as ek haar nie gaan oopgooi nie, maar as sy koud kry gooi sy darm haarself toe.

Thanks Girls. dont know why he prescribed antibiotics and it seemed she had an allegic reaction to it. She is worse off than yesterday.

We are going to the paed now. They could only fit us at 2:30. She has been sleeping since she threw up at 10 am and has not drank ro eaten a thing. am just hoping the she does not get admitted as we are not on med aid and she will have to go to red cross and I am not sure if they will allow me to stay with her. Lets hope it does not come to that.

I offered her bottle, water and juice earlier and she tells me "Go away!"

Marilu, 21ºC is not very cold..so I would not worry too much! Suppose everyone is different in handling temperature,,my mother can handle hot pots and handles much easier than I can, plus I get cold very easily..I always feel Amber's hand, face and feet, If they are cold to the touch during the night, I put an extra blanky on. Bly die hoes is nou beter!

If they are warm I know she is not cold.
Nayeela, sorry that K is still spiking fevers! If its viral infection the antibiotics are not going to help any bit..How about taken her to the Pead?

Cinds, talking about food.. I was super hungry this morning, which is not normal for me.. I drove to WW and got some Macaroni & Cheese and polished the whole thing and downed it with a box of Smarties! Now I feel sooo guilty and feel extra fat molecules creeping up my ass...

Things with us are going well,, Amber woke up twice only for milk snacks and slept well!
We going to the ENT at 4..I have been reading on Ear problems with no symptoms and having Glue ear on the short list..
Sumaya, the Scio is more for Showing what is going on than treatment, It picked up this ear problem and Amber have no symptoms of Ear infection, fever or nothing..But if it is something like Glue ear she will have no Symptoms and I would not have known..so If the ENT confirms what the machine said, then WOW..but will let you know!

Deja, still wanted to ask if Nienke went back for Horse riding? Amber went yesterday and loved it..just dont know if the lady can fit me in so late in the afternoon!!!

Hello to all the other Mommies!

Marilu that sounds about right for the temp.......if the temp was that amount in her room i would dress J the same......do u have aircon in her room or a heater? J is also a warm person and even now in the cold during the day she has a short sleeve vest on with a jacket (like fleecey top) and a trackpants with socks and takkies....

sumaya i'm loving this stage of our babies...they really say the cutest things.....J does the same...she'll say hello Cindy when i walk in.....too cute.... @ parbon......J on the other hand if we cough she says bless u
