Hi Everyone

I am so cold!! Anything that is sticking out feels like it is going to freeze off. Luckily Emma is sleeping well this morning and so I am almost finished my work for today! I love it when she complies with my schedule.. not that it happens very often.

Shame man, I don't know how you deal with sick LOs, it must be so heart breaking to see them ill and suffering.

Emma is enjoying her solids, I started her at 4 months and haven't looked back. Eating is one of her favourite activities. She hasn't refused anything yet, hopefully she doesn't develop into a fusspot. (I still am a bit of a fusspot myself..) She will be 7 months next thursday. I can hardly believe it -- it really feels like just other day I was having a meltdown when I had to bring her home from the hospital, I was so so scared that I wouldn't be able to take care of her properly.

Must be off to find something for fathers day for hubby -- any suggestions? I don't want to spend too much..

Chat soon xx

Morning ladies!

GLad everyone is well (or hope that those who are a bit snotty are better?!) Mia and Hannah are both still snotty and Mia is still coughing, but apparently it's good because it gets the phlegm off the chest. But my heart breaks for her when she's having a coughing fit - it sounds so awful. Now I know what my mom meant whenever I was sick and she said she wished she could have it instead of me!!

Hannah loves solids - eats an entire banana and not the small ones either, a big one!!! Apples, butternut, pumkin - all of it!

She's 6 months old today - I cannot believe how the time flies!!

No visible teeth yet, but got the itchy gums!!!

I must admit, I enjoy having two children. The age gap is 2 years 9 months and it's areally good one. Mia hasn't been jealous or anything like that. she really loves her baby sister and is always taking care of her and thinking of her. For instance at the doc the other day, she was so worried when the doc was examining Hannah and kept asking "Doctor is Hannah ok? What's wrong with my baby sister?"

I can guarantee you that when your LO's get to about 18 months you'll all be broody again :) (I already am, but there's not much chance of us having a third baby :( )

Hi Ladies, Well after this December I will be able to tell you how it is. I will then have a newborn and a one year old.

It is difficult at times already, sometimes I am so tired due to my pregnancy and I just want to lie down but I can't because Thashreya wants me then.

Thashreya eats her solid well. She loves her rice cereal and purity. I was abit concerned about her development but her paed said that because she is a prem baby, her development is according to the age she would have been and not the age is she now. So Thashreya is almost 7 months old now but her development is that of a baby between 5 and 6 months old. She was born 6 weeks premature.

Hi Happymumsy! Welcome x
I hear you on wondering how moms with 2 little ones cope. I just can't conceive of doing this again at the moment. But maybe in a year I'll think differently!

Happymumsy: I really miss my family, and would have liked to be there now with all the Gees for the world cup. But I'm really happy here.

You will see that once your LO is older, some things get easier, and then you might start thinking of having another one.

Thanks Elaine!

Such a long holiday sounds heavenly!! Do you miss South Africa at all?

I see there are a few moms with 2 liitle ones. How do you cope? Emma has been a big learning curve for us, she screamed at a us solid for 6 weeks and seems to be quite high maintenance. I thik anyone who does this twice or more is very very brave indeed!
