Private School or Govenment School?

I'm actually back from viewing a school , Charterhouse school in Honeydew, i did not actually get to tour the school as i was rushing back to work. I still need to go view it properly.

as far as I remember, meridian is cheaper because they have more kids per class. The standard of teaching is the same as curro.

We like the idea of having him at one school for his entire school career... That way he moves with his friends....

Also, if anyone has any good schools, worth mentioning and visiting, in Pretoria, Hatfield, Brooklyn area....

I have been following this topic as well.

CBC is a great school, some of my friends send their kids there as well. The fees are also not too bad +-R3500pm, but there's always those extra charges (levy, trips etc etc). The only thing I dont like is they write the GDE exam yet its a private school

I work in Hatfield & am also looking into the schools in that area, only problem is the good schools are either Afrikaans or high school. There s ahuge shortage of good English primary schools in PTA, esp the North area

So far Brooklyn primary school is my best bet, thats because the kids get first preference to Girls high & Boys high. Unfortunately, its also a 3am queue if you want your kid in that school *sigh*

There's also Loreto Queenswood (if you dont mind the traffic). Their fees are also quite reasonable & Eduplex as well. And Crawford (hides) but the stories about that school put me off.

Sounds good! The other thing I loved about Aurora was the security. I am registering Emily at Candis Plsyschool next year and the following year she goes to Aurora. Which other schools are on your list?
