Hi TrudieK, I'm not sure if the standard has remained the same or dropped. but in 2000, it was a very good school & the pass rate never dropped below 95%. Some of my friends went there.

Alot can change in 13 yrs though.

some private schools fees though are ridiculous, look at this one for instance , Redhill School in Sandton, www.redhill.co.za/admissions_feeStructure.htm

for a grade 1 pupil: Grd 1

How about Edenvale High School. My son will go to Bedfordview Primary, but then we are stuck as there are only Private schools in the Bedfordview area. St Benedicts for example, but I'm also scared that sending him there would be financially strenious.

If u have a girl & a few grand to spare, I would recommend Holy Rosary School in Edenvale. I attended there up to std 2 (grade 4) & its excellent.
