oh Chan, so glad you came to update us, sound slike you had an amazing birth and having an incredible time with Kade, who I might add is a big boy!! Imagine you went all the way full term!! So happy it all went well!!

Birth was amazing!!! Everything I've ever dreamed of and more!

My DH was amazing and everything was perfect! I got to 10cm at 4pm. Phoned dr to come. He arrived in 5 mins. Started to push at 4.15 and he was born at 4.30! So Kade Ryder weighed 3.52kgs at 37 weeks!!!

He latched so beautifully after being naked on my chest for half an hour! He then started moving around looking for my nipple. It was the most amazing thing ever!

He ended up in NICU because his glucose was too low. But after an hour they let him come to me in the ward. He's now fast asleep next to us. I'm about to wake him for a feed because its been 4 hours!

aaah Vix, that great to hear! im so chuffed for you! Will you be breastfeedign both babies at the same time when they're both home together?

Lizelle, congrats to your friend!! Yes, seems to be the year of the boys! I think I recall 1 or 2 girls being born this year (among our friends and family), and just the past 2 weeks, we have had so many boys from our thread alone! Enjoy your last day tomorrow! Hope your feet feel better!

AFM, Im really battling now, Im just hopign and praying to get to Sunday, but I am finding it so hard now, DH is so worried, he isn't letting me do anything, not even get up and I wanted to go to the loo and he moaned at me for gettign up, I think he got a fright when he saw me get up, my body takign alot of strain.

Chan Congrats on your LB, great weight for 37w, my LB was @ 39w 3.44kg. So big boy you've got there.

Vix that's great news about him taking the breast so easily, LB of mine i had on a bottle and breast since 2weeks of age - also didn't have any troubles. During the day i had him on the bottle (breast milk), and @ night on me for 6months. Hope this next baba of mine will also be so easy.

AFM- My last day @ work tomorrow, then i'm on leave as well (but not ML yet). I'm off now from 17th -31st Des, then for 3weeks in Jan @ work again, and i think i will put in normal leave in from about the 24th of January. Maternity leave starts the 1st Feb - 1st June. C-sec will prob be the 2nd or 3 Feb...Dr said one of those 2 days :o)
Normally you suppose to take ML one month before, and 3 months after, but our HR always helps us (the way she fills in the UIF forms) so that we can have more time with baby, well it's our own dicision....depends on how we want it.
I prefer it this way, cause i'm not on my feet the whole day - 99% sitting LOL making this butt bigger LOL
Just talking alot over the phone, and that is exhausting.

A other friend of mine had her baby or today or yesterday - not sure. Got an sms from Baby City, but it didn't give a date, just the baby's details- also a boy. The little Boys are in a hurry this year - her due dater was for the 5th of January.

O'ja Binks you can have my hips anytime, i just need to exchange these feet, even if i treat them they don't feel much better. And then i just need a bit more air in these lungs.

Anyway enough about myself, hope everyone else is doing great.
Shucks it's getting pass my bed time LOL.

Hi ladies,

I breast fed Jonathan for the first time! Exactly 2 weeks after he was born I finally got to feed him on the breast and he took it instantly, he drank for 30min! Wow what a clever little man I have there, no issues what so ever. He doesn't have as strong a suck as Alexander, it was so soft and sweet. My little angel is going to do just fine on the breast! I'm going to feed him again at 11am after the CPR training tomorrow and then again before our pead visit at 2. I'm so chuffed, that just goes to show this stupid theory that once you give baby a bottle they won't take breast is completely wrong because he has been on a bottle for over a week 8 times a day and he took the breast like he's been having it from day 1. It really is dependant upon the baby.

O.k need to go catch up now.....

aaah binks, i so empathise with you. i am battling too. ashley is just too all over the place and its so hot that i can;t just take her outside to play. it was 37*C here today and the sun is so strong for her skin, especially with the eczema.

chan - kade should be here now??? very excited to hear the details friend!

i am in such a mood. i just want nacho's from spur and craig said no to going out. flipping miserable of note. so now i refuse to cook dinner so he can cook himself or go hungry. ashley was a pain with her food too which is unlike her. my mom was supposed to watch the kids tomorrow for me while i go to the gynae - but now she can;t. that peeves me because i always have to wait to see him and ash will run riot in there. shit. i just want to know if i have effaced and begun dilating. i have the same sensations that chan has had recently. but i am also only 36 weeks along, so i can;t really expect anything major to have happened yet. i am going to go sulk now.

Im having a really bad day cant walk my hips giving in , and my little girls not helping me.
