Morning!

Well as for sex - doesn't happen too often with us anymore but still maybe once a week. But it feels weird and uncomfortable for me now. Everything is so damn swollen in there!!! DH loves it though!! Typical! We said no more sex from 35 weeks so i've got 4 weeks to go!! hehehe

Asp yay for your legs feeling better. Maybe I should try taking something. My legs drive me mental at night - such a horrible feeling and my poor DH has to rub them every night when we get into bed.

Lizelle i'm sorry you're a bit worried about your baby's weight. But I wouldn't stress at all if I were you because of the different scanning machine used this time around. I bet when you're back at your Dr's normal scanning machine everything will be as it should be. I know it's a worry but I really don't think you have much to stress about.

Sterretjie wow 2kg's already??!! At 31 weeks! According to that weight chart posted yesterday baby should be around 1.5kg. Did your Dr say anything about baby being big?

I can't wait for our scan on Tuesday to see if Kade's weight has evened out or if he's still on the big side!

Thanks for the tip on the normal car after a c-sec Vix! I'd never have thought of that!! Hopefully I won't be heading for a c-sec though!!

Morning

Well, as for the sex part, we still do it occasionally, but I am rarely in the mood. Been that way with my first pregnancy aswell. But let me tell you, as soon as the 6 weeks was past after birth, I could not wait! And it was GOOD!!!

As for Hubby, he use to also worry about the baby etc, but me being pregnant for almost 2 years now, I guess you get kind of use to it! And you work your way around the huge tummy.

Hubby is also a boobie-man and likes to play with the new maternity bras I got (easy access....)

Oh, wanted to mention that my leg is finally feeling up to its old self again. No more pain. I have been taking magnesium & calcium at night and tried to stretch and not stand too much. Seems like it paid off. Vix, that makes me have all the more sympathy with your rib pains - shame, bad that nothing much can be done to ease the pain!

I am getting the hypnobirthing book from Kim to help with my natural birth. Not to put anyone off, but I had huge amounts of pain first time round and are scared shitless to say the least. After my extremely painful cramp last week, I just realised that I am so not over the pain of my natural birth and I need to take action. So I am trying the book and see how it goes. Should be interesting!

Lizelle, sorry to hear about your concerns re the weight. There was also a point in my pregnancy last time (about 34 weeks) when the gynae told me baby wasn't getting enought food as my plasenta was "dying" and my LG barely gained weight in 4 weeks. I remember I was such a wreak. And 2 weeks later she gained double the weight she should have! And you have Vix as a nice example aswell. Don't stress, all will be well with your LG!

Vix - my husband came to fetch me with his Tuscon last year and I could barely get in and out of the car - this time around he would have to come and fetch me with my Golf. At home I also realised our bed was to high and 02:00 the morning I moved to the lounge and slept for a week on the incliner - thanks to my friend that gave me the advise after her Ceasar.

I do believe that this time around it would be easier. I also would've like to be able to give normal birth for the experience but yes, things sometimes doesn't go according to plan and lucky there is always a Plan B or C ;)

Yvette- what did i say? LOL

Sterretjie- oh wow, well I can promise you a C-sec isn't THAT bad, i would've liked the opportunity to try natural birth because i believe the healing process is much faster and less painful but if you've never had anything other than a C-sec you don't know the difference.

Just need a regular height bed, normal car to get home from hospital and a regular height chair or sofa. Sounds odd but it's amazing how you loose the ability to 'climb' up onto things. I couldn't get into DH's bakkie because it's too high so he had to come back to the hospital in my little car LOL got home then realised i couldn't get into my bed because it was a high one so i had to sleep on the spare single in babas room for 3 weeks LOL Nice thing about doing it the second time is you know what you're capable of but i'm sure having had your op last year you probably experienced the same.

I will suggest get yourself a baby bath that is on a stand rather than one of those over the bath ones because bending over is not really an option straight away.

Vix, we told our gyne at the beginning of the appointment that we went for the 4D scan and that we are having a girl. He starts the scan and (bearing in mind that he has a great sense of humour) tells us: "There is one foot, one leg and right in the middle ....... a Penis” I just burst out laughing. He then confirmed again that it is definitely a girl. You will not believe it - she was lying there legs wide open last night - not shy at all and already has a will of her own LOL

I had an abdominal myomectomy last year and one of the con's about the operation is that normal birth is out of the question due to rupture of the scar that might lead to an emergency C-section. So I have made peace with not being able to give normal birth last year already. I was just so thankful that my gyne has picked the fibroids up as this (we still believe) was the cause of us struggling to fall pregnant. After struggling for 6 years we were pregnant 9 months after the op. It doesn't really bother me how Inge comes out - as long as my child's life is not in danger and the most important part - as long as I can have a child.

The myomectomy is basically similar to that of a C-section so the cutline is there already and I do believe that a C-section is not as sore as the myomectomy.

Thanks for the offer - I would definately take you up on that
