If your car has space i would definitely suggest you get a side by side pram rather!

The in line prams usually the back rest for the front seat reclines to a flat position but then it basically becomes a big bassinet for both babies. nopt nearly as nice and supportive and comfortable as a side by side pram.

some 'twin' prams are actually a toddler seat up front which won't recline to a flat position or it would lay on the back babies feet.

You should really spend a day going around all the baby shops asking them to explain how all the different prams work and then you'll get a real good idea of what will suit you best.

I must say, originally i wanted an inline pram but i have since been very put off when i actually went to see how they work.

some of the inline prams onyl allow the back seat to recline, not both, so u will only have one seat that can recline completely (the back) and the front one will stay up because it cannot go back cos of the back seat, Hope that makes sense?

SexyH, just check that both seats recline if the pram is the ones in a line, some of them dont allow the front to recline, some might do I think, so just check that.

I figured the only place i will be going alone with 3 kids is to my friends for coffee so if the pram is too wide to fit round Ackermans/Jet then it's a good excuse to leave the kids at home with DH and go shopping alone!!!!

PnP we will do together as a family and they always have wide isles and disabled till points.

Chris, that's a really good point about the inline prams, quite often they are for 1 toddler and 1 newborn. but also my friend bought an inline twin pram but she wasn't very impressed, she bought them a stroller from about 6m i think and she is still using that. O.k i am not going to buy a stroller yet because they look awfully uncomfortable for a newborn, even the expensive Maclaren one looks horrible.

SexyHexy- mmmm really wouldn't like to be quite as 'out of reach' of everything as you are with having twins but I am terrible, i will go look in the shops every single day just to window shop.

Just check the folded dimensions of the pram before buying, i don't know what car you have, but we have a Bakkie as family car so that's fine but my little Chevy spark will become redundant :-( i bought the one and only single pram that fitted into my boot for C.

The snug and safe car seats you'll get from Baby city they have tons of them.

I am so pleased i had a C-sec 1st time around now because i will know what to expect and what i need to make my life easier after it. Last time was bit of a shell shock!

Chris- we'll pump C-sec advice and coping ideas your way closer to due date. I have some great handy tips and ideas for this time around.

O.k so SexyHexy- you're in the same boat as me & Maryke where you have enough stuff for 1 LO so 1 extra car seat is not the end of the world, a new pram but I don't think R1500 is too bad hey? Your cot is big enough to take the twins for longer than a camp cot so bonus there, just maybe make/get a divider for when they start waking each other.

I have decided to use camp cots until they are old enough for big beds, then what we'll do is buy those bunk beds you can separate so at first they can have low beds then when they need bedroom space they can be stacked again.

My boy has gone into a big bed at about 19m so that was just the right age to put the camp cot away.

Chris- my friend used her car seats as feeding chairs for her twins but i must say from about 9m C really ate better sat in a high chair because he could feed himself that way. but i think every child is different so that's why i want to wait and see how they cope in the car seats and bumbos. I have a bumbo from C and my friend will lend me hers. If you can borrow bumbos then great but i think it was a waste of money for C because he didn't sit in there for long, maybe a few months.
