Mandz - Jordyn is so cute!
You were fortunate and Jordyn is a miravle baby :)
Soory you had sucha tough time with his health- glad he's better now.
Wow those teeth sprouted quickly.

MiksMommy - wish I was in JHB for the Picnic - enjoy it. Sorry about your nannny = glad Wian has adjusted so well. They must love swimming :)

Mishka has 8 teeth - 4 top and 4 bottom.
She's now 13 months old. Growing really well and brings us joy every day. She pulls this face when she gets frustrated - frowns and rubs her hands - adorable- she had the most beautiful smile that melts my heart- not walking yet but very fast on all fours-DH calls her 'zippy' and she cruises against the furniture.

where are you pics twinbee?

And yep they are toddlers now.

Hallooooooo!!

Mandz awwww jordyn is a serious CUTIE! :cheer: i laughed out loud when i read about him and Nurofen! Thought only my kids do that! LOL How long have you been using Glucophage? That has really helped for a few of my friends. Combined with Clomid. Good luck!! Keep us updated!

hiiiii everyone else! Carmen, Twinbee!

Maryke D where have you been?? miss reading about your monkeys!

CorgansMommy Love you blog! :)

Who is coming to the Jhb meet that Vix is organising? :cheer: I can't wait to meet everyone (finally)

Mommie really irriates me, I dont know if its a Mac problem but its REALLY slow... I miss our mommy chats, please add me on skype if anyone feels like chatting carike_s

I am such a plonker! I never told you about my two monkeys! W and M is doing REALLY well! Our nanny dumped us and Wian has been in school since last week MOnday. So far, so good. He really seems to enjoy it. Waits by the door in the mornings, ready to go. He has only cried once, the rest of the time he is just happy! I'm still sad about the nanny. I trusted her with my life and my most precious possessions and this is how she repays me? anyway... both kids started swimming lessons. Mik enjoys it way more than Wian. He is almost floating on his own. Seems like he is getting the hang of it quicker than what Mik did. It blows my mind how different the two of them are. Both absolutely awesome in their own way... and soooo naughty some days that I want to go nuts!

Blessed with a beautiful daughter and an awesome baby boy!

Hello All

Twinbee I agree its way too quiet in here! I think FB has made us lazy and also some people chat on BB but not all of us have one.

I get emails from baby centre and its changed from "your baby at x-months" to "your toddler at x months" EEEEEEKKKKKKKK!!!!! Was so surreal to think J isnt a baby anymore and got quite heartsore. BUT he is the light of our lives and is really such an easy child. I thank God for allowing me an easy transition into parenthood.

Maryke I hope babes are much better. J also just finished his first set of antibiotics and I believe we need gold medals for keeping them illness free until now.

I seriously felt SO bad two weeks ago. Jordyn was slightly nasal but didnt think anything of it because he looked seriously fine. I got such a fright (remember I am still new at this) when J was a little mis and cried and next minute his nose bled!!!!! I made an appointment and felt like an idiot because I was sure the Paed will tell me there is nothing to worry about. She checked him out and all was well (I really love our Paed she is really thorough) and then last but not least she looked into his throat and she sort of did a double take and she says to me Jordyn is actually very sick he has a bad case of Tonsillitis. His throat was so inflamed etc and it made sense why he was so nasal etc. So because he has never been ill and still stays with MIL at home she just gave a simple antibiotic and thought it would do the trick. I still told Dischem they made a mistake cos it only cost R11. Well a week later he hadnt improved really and still blood in mucous etc so I went back and the meds had done nothing. So she had to bypass the inbetweeners and give a strong antibiotic and he has just finished it and he is now perfect! Thankfully. I really hope it isnt going to be a recurrent thing. Any advice moms? But through it all he was such a champ never moaned...besides when he had to take the antibiotics. But let me bring out the Nurofen and he gets all excited *seriously cant do that in public*

J is starting to eat better but I have come to this conclusion: Some kids live to eat and some eat to live. Well I am certain J is the latter. He couldnt be bothered about food. But at least now he shows an interest in our food and tries things. If he doesnt like it he just spits it our gently. I am over worrying about him not eating everything. He still has Purity in between as I worry he hasnt had enough etc.

He has 7 teeth now and thats a lot considering he only started around 11 months. It has been smooth sailing and a few just appeared without us even noticing.

I am trying to get him into pre-school at 18 months as I feel he needs the stimulation now. But in two months time I will just have to see if there are openings.

I have been through quite a rollercoaster health wise. I went for a gynae checkup and my sister had nagged me to ask to be screened for IR and PCOS. So I did it and never really thought much about it. My gynae didnt think there was a problem until he heard that it took me 2.5 years to fall pregnant with J. SO then the results came back and I was called back. I have insulin resistance and most likely PCOS as I am not ovulating. I was tested last month and no ovulation by day 21. I went yesterday for the same progesterone test and just got the call now that I havent ovulated again. I guess I was hoping for a miracle. My insulin lever was over 30 and it is supposed to be 8-10. Which is scary. I am not diabetic but I am being treated with Glucophage which is used for Diabetes to lower insulin. So now I have been in tears wondering if I will be able to have another child which we really want. Gynae prescribed Clomid but I was skeptical to take it. I was told now that I really should take it. Can anyone relate or help????????? I am so torn because I never expected issues since J for me was an easy pregnancy and birth etc and I thought I was healthy. So DH said to me... does that mean that we were really lucky with J? Yes I guess we were. I know there are options but I have started with the meds and have changed my diet drastically and hope it makes a difference with some weightloss. So you can imagine how I am feeling and I cannot even touch CHOCOLATE!!!!!! It has been 3 weeks now and man its hard.

Sorry for the long post but Moomie moms are always there for me and I just need to advice, to hear maybe one success story....anything. Looks like I will have to venture over to TTC now :-(

Will post a few pics of Jordyn.

Take care
