Hello Preggy fairies,
Lizelle- thanks for up dating everyone!
Yes my PC broke badly at the weekend so now I'm back to using the BB but it's just wayyyyyy too slow and I have been very busy with orders.
Chan- I'm totally jealous that you're going for your scan day after tomorrow

but mine is Friday at least so not too far! Also jealous of your sex life, my DH is back to drought mode since he (and I quote) " gave me what I wanted" LOL I worked flippin hard to get him to have sex 5 times in 1 month so now we'll probably have sex 5 times in 9 months LOL after the birth of Christopher I had to beg for sex when C was 4m old LOL I think this time might be worse because there's 2 babies he won't even let me paint their wardrobe yet with C I decorated his entire room!
Mina- snap! Friday is my scan too, I really can't wait! Don't worry about the movement just yet, I'm also not feeling regular movement, just odd occasional days.
Chris- sounds like the SAMBA seminar was a great help for you, I always say work on 6-8 nappies per day at first, breast fed babies eventually stop passing stools every day but to be honest my boy was still pooping every day at 9w when I changed to formula. The first month every single nappy will probably have poop but after that it'll only be once or twice a day, wee nappies you can stretch a bit longer. When in size 3 nappies my boy was down to 3-4 nappies a day. If I see great specials I'll let you know then I suggest you buy a few packs a mmonth if you can. Even if your babies are in prem nappies at first they will still need size 1 and 2 eventually so there's no harm in stocking up. If you buy Pampers but you don't like them or bought too many of the smaller sizes baby city and baby boom will exchange any un opened packs without recipts even because they can just re sell.
If money is going to be tight then don't feel you have to buy NUK bottles, they're very expensive and I found they caused more colic than thay relieved. I then tried the pigeon peristaltic nipple bottles which were great to combine with BF but since I have noticed the Pigeon peristaltic teats fit into cheap R10 bottles so with the twins I am going to buy cheap bottles and use the peristaltic teats if they appear to suffer with colic.
Oh man, there are a million and one money saving tips in this head of mine but you'll have to collect them over time because I can't remember them all. But I found I wasted money on NUK bottles which my SIL insisted were the best and at R100 per bottle and needing min 6 bottles per baby it's just silly to spend so much.
I never bought a compactum because I have fitted wardrobes so I bought a change mat for R100 and a bath with a stand and I was sorted! If you can deal with second hand then I would definately suggest you borrow or buy some bouncer chair type things, I got a kick and play chair for C at 6w and it changed my life because I could sit him down when awake and I could still do things.
Maryke- how is your back and you migranes?
DH painted the babies room wardrobe so now I can just line the shelves and start packing out all my baby stuff so I can see what extra I will need. There won't be much space in the room at first because I'm keeping the Queen bed in there so I can co sleep for the first few weeks. ( Anyone having a c-sec for the first time, you'll need a regular height bed for the first few weeks, mine is super high and when I got home I realised I couldn't get in) also it's difficult waking every 2hrs and leaning into a cot after a C-sec.
I have so much that I want to make for the twins, BF cushions, blankets, linen, nappy hangers, changing bag, wow my list is endless. I don't make baby grows, it's not finacially viable in comparisson to pep and ackermans so I don't waste my time.
Before we know it Christmas will be here people, 5m to christmas exactly on Sunday.
