maryke - hahhaha about your hubbie! my gynae and his partner in crime were making me stand right with them while they were cutting etc... they explained every layer (not that i didn;t know...) and eventually got to the uterus. they had smiles on their faces under their masks... i knew they were up to something. then the old dr, (his partner) said "come look at the baby's head". so OBVIOUSLY i looked in further to see the little tot, then he breaks the amniotic sac and the water splashed out like a fountain. i got such a fright and wretched! those two naughty dr's were canning themselves at me. freakin' gross. that's what i was thinking when the same naughty gynae's were taking my baby out in aug last year!not pretty.
how are you feeling?

Yes Maryke, this is our first child.
Vix, I have been staying in J'burg for the last 5 years (born and bred in Cape Town) and this is for sure the coldest yet.
I am also so glad that this is a summer baby however I have heard rumours that being highly pregnant is summer can be quite uncomfortable. Yes glad we have a pool for then

Phoned the doc about this pain as it's really worrying me. He's on leave so the receptionist (gosh I hate getting advice from them!) said it's normal it's ligament pain. I must take it easy and keep my feet up. If it gets worse I must phone back this afternoon.

Wish I could explain it. It's exacly where the doc scans my tummy and that's what's making me scared. This morning before I phoned I also wondered if it couldn't be a pulled muscle or something similar because it's worse when I stand and walk. Who knows?? Just don't like it!

Hi Ladies,

Thanks for the tip on the panado medisips, i think i will definately get it, I haven't had a decent nights sleep since Monday, sore throat and now darn nasal drip along with it, starting to feel ms creep up again. Clinic gave me a preggy pop to try, so will see if it helps. During my sleepless night I kept thinking about 3's, everything I thought of was in 3's, I woke up this morning thinking $#iT! How am I going to do this??! LOL. I'm having sleepless nights now, imagine when the trio comes along? OMW, lol. Poor hubby is so bushed too and tells me to wake him up if i cant sleep so he can make me tea or something, but i feel so bad.

Chan and Binks, hope your tummy's feel better!

Paisley, hope you enjoyed your shopping! Makes me very nervous to think how big my tummy is going to be. I have started using bio oil already.

Vix, hope your ms subsides soon, you are just around the corner from 12weeks!

Sterretjie, it is really freezing in Joburg, haven't had a cold winter like this in a while.

Aspoestertjie, glad it went well telling your boss, i think it maybe made it a bit easier that he asked instead of you telling him :)

So the medisips is safe during pregnancy?
vix did you take it during your pregnancy? I am so with you about having a summer baby! I cant imagine having a huge tummy now dressed with layers and layers of clothes! Summer at least I can slip a cool dress also. Glad you're feeling better today.

Maryke, hope your lg gets better soon. I'll join you ladies for coffee, suits me!

Sterretjie- coming from the UK I have to say I have definately experienced colder winters in my life but I have never experienced -5 here in SA in the past 4 years. It's horrible!

Chan- I have been having terrible cramps almost every other day for a while now. Sometimes it actually feels like I'm going to get my period it's that heavy pain. Sometimes it's higher. I can't remember all these pains from my last pregnancy but to be honest I probably forgot about it, just like I forgot how horrible a newborn can be! LOL

WRT twin pram/stroller- my honest opinion is don't bother. My boy is now 20m but for months now he won't sit in a stroller, if we go out shopping I use a set of restraints. Your babys will be about the same age as mine is now when no2 is born and most of my friends can't keep their kids in prams anymore. Rather wait until baby is born and then if you feel a double stroller will work quickly pop out and purchace one.

I am so thankful for having my baby in summer! I thought a winter baby will be nice because you can wrap them up warm and they'll sleep well but there is no way I want to be up BF all night in this shocking cold and changing my boys nappy is painful for him because it's too cold. Roll on summer! Brrrrrrr

I feel a lot better today, am able to eat fine.
