Geez that is disgusting!!!! Don't really care who's believes this is, it is STILL disgusting. They're EATING part of their bodies!! Yuck man. I can understand if you want to bury it, but not EAT it, just the thought is making me naar.

I'm shocked!!! This is the first I hear of this. They did ask me at the hospital if I needed them to keep the placenta, but holy moly, I never thought they were asking incase I wanted to have it for dinner the next day.

Can someone please, please, please explain to me why people do this - I am really intrigued. There must be a reason and I would really like to know. Definitely not something I would consider, but to each his/her own, but I would like to hear why it is being done.

But, I think I'll pass on this one! DH has even said as much that with my delivery in January, if need be he'll crawl under the bed rather than walk to the end of the bed and risk seeing that again! - He peeped down there during my last delivery!
