Morning ladies.

Thank you for all the prayers. I really do believe in the power of anything positive, be it prayer, a well wish or just a thought. I believe all the positive energy has given me strength. So thank you once again.

BettyF, when do you sleep? I've come to expect your updates around 2:00 am everyday. :silly:

This is the first time i'm hearing about parineal exercises, I googled it and i guess i'll try anything to keep things intact and increase my chances of an easy birth. Wish i could remember doing my kegel exercises, it's just so hard concentrating on those muscles!

Just came to say hello and wish everyone a happy friday.

Later...

Happy Friday!

Betty_F I had a giggle early this morning when I saw an email from Moomie on my phone at about 4:45am (I use my phone as a torch for toilet trips). As I saw the email, I thought this has got to be from Betty_F!! And it was :)
I think the moses baskets are adorable and am considering getting one because my bedroom is quite small. How long can you use them for - 6 months?

Otherwise baby will sleep in bed with me in a Snuggle Nest. I suppose I'm going to have to find room for a cot or camping cot in my room at some stage!!!!

Yesterday I was very uncomfortable. I think my uterus was sitting in my throat. I couldn't breathe and felt claustrophobic. And I still have a long way to go, my abdominal cavity is full!!!

How are you feeling Tshepy?

How did your LG birthday go yesterday Esmari?

Thinking of u MsDee xxx

Sunrise...missing u hun!

TaNasha those kicks get strong very quickly!!! Enjoy and just wait till you can share them with DH!

Hi to everyone else :)

Mornings.

Wow I'm tired. I really need to get something to add to my vitamins. Maybe a shake or something. I find that I tend to wake up a lot during the night, and then I struggle to fall asleep again. Baba pushing against bladder now, so going to the loo twice per night. Oh, and these maternity pants are heaven!

I never went to classes. Maybe thats why I ended with a emergancy section with my son.

Toodles, have some more packing to do. Moving in 2w. Gosh. A new chapter in life!

TaNasha - our ante-natal teacher said kegel exercises everyday also help with no tearing and something called panting - taking a breather in pushing when babas head is just "coming out" wait a second or two for the skin to adjust and then carry on pushing (that is the point where most tears occur according to her and she has 6 kids lol)

Karienh - yeah only a few weeks left ;) before you all know it we all have our little bundles of joy in our arms..

4 m/c's: 1 2003; Sept 2009 twins; Dec 2009; May 2010.

April 20 2011 c-section - Rowan 3.18kg (My Clexane miracle)
14 July 2012 c-section - Gemma 2.9kg (My total surprise miracle)

MsDee- been praying for you and your family! Know that you have been in my thoughts xx

Tanasha - I am sure you are feeling kicks. Apparently with first pregnancy you tend to only feel them later. In 2nd pregnancy you can feel them earlier - I think at 16 weeks I felt kicks this time around. The kicking gets harder and harder.. Lol

Solo- sorry about the disappointing class, one of the things I enjoyed most about the classes was the interaction with the other moms to be. Hopefully next time you will have some company.

If I follow what we did with M - baby will sleep in our room for the first 6 weeks or so. My SIL gave me a Moses basket to use - I am thinking of getting a stand for it, and baby will sleep in there. Then. I will gradually move baby to nursery- start with day sleeps and later night ones.

Mom to Matthew, born 8 March 2008
baby girl due 29 April 2011

MsDee Thinking and praying for you! We missed your posts and advice while you were away.

Esmari, happy birthday to your girl! Hope she has a fun day.

I read up on the perineal exercises and will def do them a bit later on - I know DH can't wait to give me a hand ;) And I try to do Kegels whenever I remember, which I admit isn't very often.

Solo sorry that the class was disappointing - I'm sure it will get better if there's more people and the birth video will surely be an eye opener.

Tanasha - enjoy every kick - those first ones are really special and before you know it you'll be able to share them with your hubbie.

Our boy will sleep with us for at least the first 2 weeks, because my mom is coming to stay with us and we only have 2 bedrooms - so she'll be sleeping in the nursery. Every one tells me that the only problem with having you newborn sleep in the room with you is that every sound he makes wakes you up. But if it works for us, I think it will be great for the first two months - it will be winter here and I won't mind not having to get out of bed every time he needs to feed.

Claire and Rakker - It's so exciting that you're so close.
