Esmari, your cake is amazing! I love looking at cake decorating blogs but I really suck with it - I do bake amazing cakes though - they're just all really ugly if I try to decorate them in some fancy way Take a look at this lady's blog (iammommy.typepad.com/i_am_baker/) - she makes pretty cakes and even puts patterns in the cake itself.

AFM: My baby is doing really well if the kicks are anything to go by. And I think he had his first hiccups yesterday - I'm not sure, but it felt different from kicks and was more regular. So cute.

We're still waiting to hear about the home approval on the place we want to buy and it's starting to get to me. There is so much that needs to happen but until we hear from them everything is in limbo. We can't pack until we know, and we can also not look for another place...ugh! Wish the banks would hurry up.

Hi everyone

Just a quick post as I am on my pc at work instead of my phone.

Went to gynae yesterday. All is well, blood pressure and weight gain all normal. Dr said baby is a big boy! He said at least we know now that he is a boy because he wasn't showing anything off yesterday! Shy boy I have here! hehe. Otherwise we discussed the anomaly scan and I would have to go to Pta for the scan and I sat and thought about it and I have decided to decline. Dr said it really wasn't necessary for me as I wasn't going to terminate in any case. And quite honestly I think that I have had enough stress. I got a reasonable-ish scan pic. Nothing amazing, but the best I have had so far!!

Solo – regarding crèche/daycare, suppose the best way to start is too look up where the closest schools are to you. I gave them a call asking if I can come have a look (you don’t have to make appointment, actually best if you don’t, that way you can get real first impressions). Good luck!
It’s nice that your BF is starting to relax re the pregnancy. My bump is also getting nice and big now.

Philipajane – I thought I was the only one that didn’t like other people in my space. It’s nice to have a clean house without lifting a finger, but I find myself feeling in the way. Also without a domestic at the moment.

MsDee – my LG has been at a crèche since she was 4 months old, and it was hard to let her go. But I don’t regret it at all. Will do the same with my new baby – at least it will be a little easier this time round, since I know the school and the teachers. But it ‘s a hard decision to make and everyone has something that will work better for them. Good luck!
People can be real idiots, just as I was busy going through the posts I get another one of those negative comments. So I gave a snotty response – not snotty enough though. Some people are just idiots! I don’t tell anyone unless they ask, unfortunately it seems all the stupid people ask…

Betty F – no v-day plans for me, it’s fil’s bday, so we never do anything for vday. I have made peace with it.

AFM – I have my scan tomorrow afternoon, will update you guys on Monday. I’m going to ask about a possible VBAC – holding thumbs!

A busy start to the week for me.

Went past Edgars and could not resist getting a preggie pants. They have a 75% off sale. Always seems to be loads of preggie stuff for sale.

Esmari- stunning cakes. Did you go on a course? I also love baking, although I am not very good. I have made all Matthew's cakes so far. 1 st year was a Teddy bear, last year a soccer ball and this year I was thinking of a rocket ship. Need to find a recepie. He has asked for a "Lunar Jim" party. All u first time mommies to be, you will soon learn all about C'beebies lol.

I also give M that acc200 when he is sick, it works like a charm. Hope you all get well soon...

My next scan is only on the 23 rd.

DH away for 2 days. So it's just me and M. Any valentines plans?
