Solo, i am so jealous, I wish i was seeing the baby today.

Everyday i wake up and think i wish i could see the baby today! I really need to, so much is happening so fast, i think i'm panicking about his arrival, what it all means, and like Philipajane says, the idea of having a stranger in our house (the maid) is freaking me out more than anything. It's just the idea of taking my child to day care where he won't be getting as much individual attention is freaking me out even more.

Solo, have you considered one of those creches where you can log in and get to see what your baby is up to? I think that would give you so much peace of mind.

AHA? I can't remember whether it was you who mentioned getting strange reactions from people about having another girl? When i read your post i got so angry because I too have received some of the strangest reactions from people when i told them it was a boy. People are just odd huh! Next time someone says something like that you must let them have it! As for me, after about the 4th person i told i decided not to unless the person asks.

Philipajane your arrangement sounds ideal if it works out. I'd far prefer to send my baby to a private care giver than to a day care. I did without a maid for two years, also just sending my ironing to the laundromat. it worked well, but I wouldn't be able to cope now with a bump!! I admire you

And thanks Philipajane, brilliant way of putting things ... I AM going to have a stress free gynae visit for a change!!! I'm tired of stress I'm glad I won't have to worry about the anomaly scan for another few weeks

You are NOT allowed to clean house today or even iron. The house won't fall apart. You need to look after yourself and your precious baba. Please take it easy hun. Interesting about the acc200! I never knew it was safe for use during pregnancy. I really hope you and your whole family feels better very very soon. But you are going to have to rest otherwise you will not get better quickly.

AFM I get to see my gynae today!!! My first appt after the amnio, so it's going to be an exciting visit. I'm not sure if I will have my anomaly scan today or if he will want me to make another appt next week for the scan. Either way I'm going to have a scan and ladies lets please hope that I get a good pic of my baby. Dr seems to find the worst angles and pics to freeze and print for me!!!!! So far I have nothing exciting to show - just the back of my baby at 13 weeks. Even my amnio scan didn't show much as Dr was more concerned as to baby's position than nice features to show mommy!

Morning!

Not a good day. Al 4 of us has a cold! Keeping my son at home, as he is crying his head and body hurts, and he is coughing. Maybe I will take him later, he didnt want to stay, but he is asleep now.

Did you preggy ladies know you can take acc200? Its great for the post nasal, and can even be given to babies! My friend say that when we are sick(she just started her internship at hospital, and can prescribe meds), we can combine it with a antihistamine that is safe in pregnancy, and panado. I asked her about panado medi sip, its safe according to her (and others on moomie), but she says that there is too little paracetamol in. It would be like drinking a baby antibiotic, it wont really help. So rather drink regular panado's, and a honey and ginger tea.

Have to clean bathrooms and iron today. But I am so not in the mood for cleaning! But someone has to do it!

Oh before I forget. Had a weird pregnancy dream last night. Or rather birthing dream
I dreamed that I gave birth in the car. The weird part: I was in the boot, and the baby on the back seat. The cord was hanging over the seat into the boot, and broke, and red fluid was gushing from it. Dh was very worried about his scar, but I told him to not worry, as it is only grape juice. Huh, what kind of dream is that?
