Re: New Mommies to be May, June & July 2011

I had to go to PnP yesterday after work and I looked for VitaThion (hoping it would be on the shelves 'cause I didn't feel like going to Clicks). Anyway after seeing it wasn't on the shelf I found Schlehen Blackthorn Berry Elixir.
I was dead on my feet and the blurb stated it was an energy and vitality tonic for children, pregnant and BFeeding mothers. I know from preggie mags that its supposed to help with your milk, but the energy and vitality bit caught my eye!!
So I bought a bottle - not cheap but I was desperate.

Well I feel so much better today. I haven't yawned once today yet! And I feel as if I have more energy.
Has anyone else taken this stuff?

Its Friday!!! Any exciting plans for the weekend?

The scan was lovely, it was actually a whole hour! I only got 1 photo though . They didnt dare to say what they thought it was either! But Baby was moving around so much, kicking and punching, it was lovely. And I get to go again in 2 weeks!

I also got a whole goodie bag full of samples and little socks and all sorts of little things!

Lol MsDee, not sure if samoosas were the wisest choice!!!! I didn't feel so well last night and I'm still not sure if they have done the trick or made things worse but they were yummy hehe

TaNasha! How was your scan and yes, as MsDee asks, did you get a hint of gender? 45 mins must have been sheer bliss!!

Oh I'm getting so excited at the thought of shopping for my little one.

Wow i never knew a pregnant stomach could be so hard to the touch. I always thought they were soft and squishy. Hmmm...

TaNasha, how was your 45 minute scan? Did they by any chance hint at what the baby's gender might be? What i wouldn't give to watch our baby that long.

By the end of the day my bump feels so heavy and cumbersome. Just walking around wears me out. I can't face grocery shopping now! But someone has to do it!!

TaNasha - I bought a pair of feeding bras, but can't get used to it. I am used to underwire bras, so the wireless is just not comfortable for me.

Solo - my gynea prescribed Vita-Thion , which you can drink for energy and tiredness, it is an powder which you dissolved in water, and it doesn't taste to bad. You can buy it from Clicks. I drank it first thing in the morning or just before I leave home.


Keeping the gender a secret wasn't easy in the beginning, but now I am all over it - babies room is almost finished just waiting for the roman blind which I ordered, then room is finished.
We renovated DH family cot, the cot is almost 40 years old, but after renovating it, it actually looks good.

Rakker lol at your DH! I suppose I must also look at feeding bras. All my normal bras still fit though, so luckily i have not had to buy any new ones yet.

Solo samoosas sound soooo yummy right now!

This afternoon I have my scan at the university! They said it will take about 45mins! Cant wait to see my baby for that long! And I get a gift afterwards, wonder what it is? I love freebies!
