Rakker, I'm sure it will pass. I had that during my first trimester. I still shudder just thinking about those days. I think what helped me was my sister telling me it is perfectly normal to not be bubbly all the time like those women on the cover of pregnancy Magazines. And having people around you telling you this should be a happy time doesn't help either. Be easy on yourself & keep talking. DOn't keep it inside.

Solo I am so glad it is all over now. Now it is just waiting.

I am feeling abit better today, but it feels like i'm coming down with the flu. Is this in any way bad for the baby? I feel like i am having the week from hell!

Ah Solo, so glad you are in a good mood . Glad you had a day of indulgence. I would love one like that now... I think you must wait for the gender, as it kind of makes waiting for the amnio results more bearable or exciting, but I might be wrong?

Karienh, I never even had one nice scan pic that I can post, because it never looks like something to me. I will wait for the 4D (which I must still book, come to think of it...).

MsDee, I keep on thinking I should buy stuff for LG, but I do not like shopping at all (thought I was the only one). Maybe if money wasn't an issue I would not mind doing some shopping. I think tomorrow I must take R300 and buy some basic toiletries and e few cheap clothing items, because I realised yesterday that I have about 4 outfits and 2 packs of newborn nappies and that is it. Luckily I have a lot of unisex clothes of my LB that I can re-use.

Claire, you often get (on such a forum, in any case) months with more boys or more girls, but it's usually not an 80/20 split thing, more like 60/40 or something. We'll have to wait and see.

AFM, nothing new really. I just experience more down days than earlier in my pregnancy. I do hope it is just a phase. I feel so sorry for myself for the slightest things...

Im in such a good mood this morning!

And I'm feeling so much better as well. Just a little tender where the needle went in and my bump feels a bit tender as if it needs a lot of TLC (which it is getting). In was a bit scared to take the plaster off last night when I showered - almost as if if I took the plaster off all my amniotic fluid would run out! Silly I know, but I felt so protective over my precious bump!

I'm sitting up in bed with my laptop. Funny thing is, when I switched it on and opened Moomie I was signed in as Nozzie!! hehe. It seems Nozzie gets around (in a nice way)

Ooh my darling mom found a Clicks advertising brochure, and guess what they were advertising... a gender testing kit called "Best Baby" OMW the two of us sat there this morning looking at the ad......I'm tempted, sooooo tempted!! hehe But then I thought about it and I will be getting my amnio results in two to three weeks time and then I will find out which team I'll be in. So do I waste R200-00 on a 99% accuracy test? Hmmm or do I just be a good girl and wait for my amnio results! LOL I really can't wait to find out - even BF was asking yesterday when we are going to find out.

Yesterday I had a day of sheer indulgence! Once the test was over and I was safely tucked up in bed with my book as well as TV and DVD remotes to hand I curled up and snoozed until about 12ish. Then I got bored! I found a programme called Saving Babies. I lay there and sobbed and sobbed. Not a good thing for my aching belly!

TaNasha I'm sorry to read about your weekend and your foot. I hope you are feeling better today. Is your foot actually broken?

MsDee - don't worry I have all these pictures from the scan with little arrows pointing at stuff and have no idea what they are. That's why I posted that one - at least I know what it is and if I squint I can actually see something that might be a penis.

To me the scans look less clear the bigger the baby gets - maybe because his bones are stronger and you see more bones than actual cute hands and feet. You def don't need to go for all the scans - I think there's one more important one at 28 or 32 weeks and that the only other one you need to do. I wouldn't go for all of them except they're included in my consultation fees. And from now on you're going to feel and even see the baby move so often I'm sure you won't miss the scans too much.

MsDee, my obgyn said the 4 most important scans: 8wks(to date), 12wks(the downs), then 18wks, then 23wks. And its strange, my obgyo only charges for 2 scans, the rest are free.

Solo, I am so relieved that that part is over for you. How you doing today?

I am so tired today. Dh has his own artitectural drafting business he runs after hours. So when he gets a house to draw, he works as soon as kids are in bed. So last night I started and finished a book waiting for him. So eventually I took off my pjs, started putting off lights ect. The plan was going to go say nightnight in the nude. But he heard me and came to say goodnight while I was brushing my teeth(in the nude). Needless to say, he immediatly went and put off his laptop. Hehe! Men!

Karienh, i've been looking at your baby's pic since yesterday, i feel so dof, cause just like my last ones i can't see what's what? Honestly i was confused throughout my last scan, at least hubby seemed to be following esp when the doctor was pointing at the boy goods! LOL! I couldn't see anything! The only thing that was obvious to me was the heart.

Ladies, do we really need to have more scans after the 20 week mark (i'm already at 22)? Our doctor charges R350 per scan!!! And my medical aid only paid for the first 2. I'm thinking of doing one 4D one and no more. But i would sure miss watching my baby I'm so confused. My head is just reeling from seeing the cost of baby stuff!

I have been going to the edgars baby section everyday since tuesday, looking at everything blue! Got the Baby catalogue last night I'm loving this part of pregnancy!!!! Funny cause i've never been much of a shopper.
