good day

had a scan on Friday, baby is fine and weighs 530g now, legs are all over the place, dr couldn't get a nice face pic, because legs are in front of the face.

I was getting worried because I feel baby maybe one of twice a day, dr said not to worry, it is because legs are in front of face, so I will not be able to feel the kicks as hard as they should be.
As soon as baby decided to turn I will be able to feel the kicks more often. Baby is also very active so I don't panic anymore!!

I thought I had my scan on the 17th, but turns out it was today. Luckily I found out in time, so what a suprise.

So, this little girl is not too small... I am at 23 weeks and 6 days, let's say 24. She weighs in at 769g. But, my sun weighed a whopping 1kg at the same stage . The gynae commented on LG's chubby cheecks, so she is deffinitely filling up. Ahead in growth for her head, femur and abdomen. All else looks fine. She was lying with her spine to my spine and head down. that's why I feel movement very high and very low.

tshepym01, I so hope you find out the gender today. Enjoy your scan. And enjoy the movement. On my way to the gynae I realised that I haven't felt my LG this morning and I started to freak out. Just before I walked in, she gave me one big kick, as if to say: Stop stressing, I was sleeping.

MsDee, drugs, drugs, drugs! The epidural is nice! Had one with my son, ag, and then it ended in a c/s. But ja, its nice!

Anybody heard from sunrise? I am starting to worry about her!

Afm. Started preggi omega supplements on sunday, and ever since, everytime I burp I get a tuna taste in my mouth! Jig! Hope it goes away when my system gets used to it. Got nice ones from Dischem. Was R75 for 2 months supply. It workes out cheaper for me than the vits with it in.

Today 13:30 is my scan appointment and I am looking forward to it, feeling a bit nervous and excited, hoping to find out the gender my sister can't wait either as she thinks I am too certain its a boy and she thinks I will be disappointed if its a girl which is not the case as I just want a healthy baby without minding the gender it is just a feeling I have that its a boy thats all.

I am now feeling real kicks,baby is really busy this days,at first I just had this strange popcorn making machine feeling, which I'm sure was the baby moving around but now I really feel the kicks.

Congrats Laurakim!! Team blue!!!! Its all so exciting! How many weeks were you when you found out?

I also don't do pain or medical/dental procedures so the whole idea of giving birth (natural or csec) is scary!! But what is in must come out... Eina. Also the amnio is scaring me silly. I remember reading a Living and Loving when I was a kid and they had an article about an amnio with graphic photos and it freaked me out and I felt so sorry for the mommy, and I remember hoping I never had to have one... Hmmm, and now its my turn. I'm hoping my gynae is very experienced and skilled at performing an amnio. But I suppose there is no way for me to find out!

Re: The birthing options, i'm keeping an open mind. You can ask for drugs if you're going the natural route right??? Maybe i should bring up the issue at my next appt with my gynae. I want a doctor that will support my choice in the matter.
