Tshepy, i'm also very nervous about my next scan. I had one at 16 weeks and the baby's organs all looked good. So this coming one is probably going to be my last one for a while. I think even if s/he still has his/her legs crossed i will just leave the whole gender thing and take it as a sign that s/he wants to surprise us. We'll just have to buy neutral colours. B)

About the strong pelvic muscles. From what i've read, it prolongs labour a little bit but the benefits are: Less risk of incontinence afterwards, faster recovery period and yes, whether it's a myth or not it helps keep things nice and tight down there. :P

Solo, i am so like you. I am such a baby!!! But i think i will try the natural birth route still. But i have a time limit. Hopefully i'm like all the women in my family who average aroud 2 hours of labour (no kidding!)

TaNasha good luck with your scan - please let us know how it went. How are you feeling these days? No more spotting?
I would have told everyone as soon as I found out I was pregnant, but bf wants to wait until we are in the clear re ds (which could only be at 19 or 20 weeks if I have an amnio next week). Only then will he tell his friends and family. I will announce it on fb when his friends and family know - otherwise things get leaked out and people get hurt and upset. What a minefeld!!!

Philipajane I'm hoping its an old wives tale, but they say the tight and toned core muscles prevent your pelvic bones from opening to let baby through. Who knows! :)
Twisted pelvis sounds very painful! The injuries us riders have hehe - I'm lucky I never broke anything, but my knees and back are not in good shape anymore. Too many falls :)

Welcome back Aha! Glad you're doing so well. I'm also 19 weeks and feeling the baby more and more often.

Solo, I agree with Philippajane that you just have to delete the post on your profile and then as soon as you've received your prize you can unlike them again. Congratulations on your prize btw.

Thsepim01, good luck with your scan - I feel exactly the same before I go for a scan. But afterwards I'm so happy and relieved that it feels like I'm floating.

I'm going to try for normal - I really don't want the recovery pain from a ceasar - but the bigger I get the scarier I get at the thought of having the baby exit from my vagina.

Some days I feel really pregnant and it's uncomfortable to bend down and other days I hardly feel pregnant at all. I guess (and hope) this is normal because the baby moves around and stuff.

Thanks MsDee for the maternity wear update. I went to Mr Price at Sandton and Woodmead and they don't have maternity wear, though they do have a lot of tops that should work.
