Thanks ladies - will see if I can get some of the shields. It really is the most painful thing :(

I am not sure how we are latching wrong. He feeds - I can see the milk around his mouth and is definitely sucking

Caesar moms - when did you start driving??

Solo - my answers

1. The brown sugar does work - I used it in one of my bigger kids.
2. YES this is normal. The paed said to me the day he discharged us to expect it and not be worried. I never inspect the nappies so dont know for how long Jack had it.
3. If they fall asleep/are calm and are picking up weight then they are getting enough :) Sometimes Jack feeds for 10 minutes and is full and other times for 25 minutes.
4. Jack did this and so did my daughter. David thinks its from the pain meds cos as soon as I stopped the pain meds regularly Jack fell into a 3/4 hour routine. So honestly right now I wouldnt stress too much about it. But if you are worried then wake him. In the first week we couldnt wake Jack - lol - once he was asleep he was asleep.

Thamu - welcome home! how is it going? are your girls enjoying their new sister?

Sunrise - I'm glad it's going well. Don't stress too much about the milk - it takes 2-5 days to come in - you'll be fine.

PhillipaJane good luck on your own. I stressed so much the first day on my own. And it's tough getting anything done, but it will be fine

Esmarie, sooo close!

solo, I wouldn't let him go longer than 4 hours between feeds during the day (from start of one feed to start of next. At night he can go longer but I would also worry about 10 hours at his age. maybe wake him up once during the night? but its normal for them to sleep through feeds at this age.

I'm def not having anotther baby until they make them with little sign to indicate exactly what they want.

Sunrise, congrats on your twins! May they bring you lots of happiness!

Afm. I am so gatvol! I just want this week over with! I cant sleep anymore, cause everything hurts. If I lay on one side too long, my hips hurt. If I lay on my left side, it hurts under my ribs. And no matter what I do, I am constantly constipated! And it hurts. I hate this part of pregnancy!

Anyway, got lots to do.
