Yes, she said I must give her formula at the times when she screams, after boob. Yesterday I gave her 90mls after feeding her at 2pm and then again at 6pm. She drank every bit.
Do you think I should give less? I just gave the lesser dosage on the tin.

Betty - does she mean top up with a bottle? Why not just top up with a small feed? Thats what I am doing now - Jack feeds fine but some days gets a little niggly in between so a few minutes on the boob and he seems ok.

We use the no-name PnP softener and so far it seems fine - they actually do have a baby one as well.

Hope everyone is well today? Been reading everyone's posts and admiring all the beautiful baby pics - all the babies are just so lovely...I'm just really glad that every1 has had smooth deliveries and such beautiful and healthy babies!

Ok, so this past week has not been good for me..firstly I was off sick from work for the past 2 days - have a very bad case of the flu...I couldn't get out of bed or even lift my arms I was so out of it...then yesterday I went for my 36week check up at the gynae..turns out Mia weighs 3.6kg's already...gynae was so surprised he had to check 3 times just to be sure..that's more than what my 1st born weighed at birth...baby is fine, everything seems normal and she's lying ready to come... so gynae says all we need to do no is wait..i told him im a bit concerned baby might come early as I lost my mucous plug the weekend past already and have been having a pinkish/bloody discharge when i go to the toilet and he says its a sign my cervix is thinning...anyways, he immediatly put me on mleave as he said i need to rest...But, i needed to come into work today and might come in tomorrow as I need to finalise things, I can't just pack up and go..I feel fine, other than the flu symptoms i can still manage and waddle around

Oh, and my DH dragged me by the hair kicking and screaming to the shops this weekend to buy my last few things i still need in order to get my maternity bag packed...so ya, i bought the whole tutti frutti, sanitary pads, maternity pads, throw away undies, toiletries, etc...I still haven't found a pair of pj's i like so my mom and I r gonna go shopping at tygervalley next week when things r quiet..Oh and I had my baby shower as well, last week Thursday on the public holiday...I couldn't stop crying it was such a big surprise!! I got LOADS of gifts, we played lots of games and their was just too much food to mention...And u should see the beautiful cake they got me... 3 tiered, pink and green with loads and loads of marzipan ribbons and teddy bears, u would have sworn that it had come straight out of an episode of Cake boss - one of Buddy's creations Their were "its a girl" banners and table decor everywhere and they made little shortbread biscuits in shapes of prams and bottles and decorated in different coloured icing which were individually packaged and given to each guest as a present for attending...My sister planned it all and all i can say is i have alot of planning to do now already as I have to give her a baby shower in november when it's her turn to deliver her baby...

So ya, I'm at work...finishing what needs to be done...hopefully next week I'll officially be on maternity leave, can't wait!

Ertjie- sorry you are having such a difficult time with Nina's weight. Love the pictures, she is beautiful.

We went to the paed yesterday. Sarah screams every afternoon, she thinks that she may be hungry and suggested that I top her up. So I did,and wow no screams yesterday afternoon... And I thought it was the onset of colic. Anyhow let's see how today goes. She sai that she could prescribe eglynol to increase my milk supply, but I am not sure that I want to go on that. Are any other BF moms topping up? How much do you offer.

Anotherthing, she has a rash on her face which the clinic sister told me was a milk rash, the paed thinks that it is from the staysoft. What washing powders are you all using?

Anyhow S is asleep again and I should try too...
