Welcome Tracey.. Our due dates are pretty similar..

I was in Edgars looking at maternity clothes this morning.. YUCK is all I can say! Maybe a bigger branch will be better but the clothes they had were revolting..

I just carry on wearing my regular pants and use the Yummy Mummy Elasticated Band thing.. It works like a charm..It is sold at Baby City etc.. You wear it over your pants and you dont have to button them up..

As for the circumcision, Adam was born on a Friday afternoon.. Because it was then weekend, and we had to leave on the Monday morning, they could not do it whilst we were in hospital. A paed surgeon then did it for us on the following Saturday in his rooms with the assistance of a Paed nurse. It was no where near R8000.00 so dont know where they come to that amount.. I think it was R1800.00 if I remember correctly.. It healed really quickly, he gave us an ointment so it was pretty painless. Where I would recomend them doing it in hospital is that they do it quickly and you dont need to be present.. It was very traumatic being with him when they did it.. My hubby is a pilot and was flying that morning so went alone.. I was still recovering from the caeser and my hormones were all over the place so wasnt very pleasant.. But as I say it healed quickly so the sooner you do it the better.. It is far worse if done when they are older..

My DH is circumcised and is Jewish so thats why Adam was done.. It is everyones own choice, I just find it so much cleaner..

That's so cool that you fell preggies so nice and quick It's a blessing either way, if you wait long for it or not. We tried for about 2 years...

But if you start worrying, and stressing, you must ask questions, I've asked so much and feel very relieved after all the support from everyone.

I'm from Durbanville, Cape Town.
My husband and I go married in September last year and decided to try for children straight away (since I've just turned 30), so this is our first.
We were quite lucky, it took us 3 months to fall pregnant, and even that felt far too long, I have no idea how people manage to stay positive when it takes longer, I have great respect for all the ladies that have had to do that.

Hopefully everything proceeds smoothly, at this point I'm ultra paranoid about what I should and shouldn't eat and what I should and shouldn't do, I'm just very anxious for everything to go well

Can't wait for my scan on Monday, I hope that they'll be able to see if it's a girl or a boy, although I know it's still quite early.

@Ankia, gosh that white telephone was the highlight of my evening last night, don't know why, had my steri stumpie as my usual dessert, and uh uh, 2 seconds later, my ninja peach didn't like the cream soda taste. LOL....

I had another freaky dream... I got on the scan and I was 10kgs down! Usually bliss, but um, i burst into tears...

This not being able to eat thing is getting kinda freaky.

I got my dates wrong.

I see doc on monday.

Oh and as for pudding brain, yesterday was a typical day for that.

Got in the car, forgot the parcel that I was delivering, got out the car, in the house, closed the house, back in the car, started the car, pulled out the drive, and forgot my purse, drove back into the driveway, back out the car, back in the house, back out the house, back in the car, started it again, drove a little bit further, forgot my cellphone, and did the whole cycle again. NOT FUN!. I confused my poor dogs, shame....

LOL

Just wanted to mention that I have anglecare baby monitors and the tiny love activity mats fro sale at much cheaper prices than the shops (all brand new). Not sure if you have seen my thread on the goods and services thread so just thought would mention it.

Congrates to you all....it only felt like yesterday that i was 3 months pregnant....time does fly, but now I am wishing my last 9 weeks to go at super sonic speed!
