Sorry to barge in like this but I just want to congratulate you all on your pregnancies. I am also on the Jan / Feb 2011 forum as Maryke.

I gave birth on the 24th of December and I just want to wish you ladies every thing of the best with your pregnancies. Enjoy every moment - yes, even the MS - it is stunning once baby is there but I do have my days that I miss being pregnant - especially once you start feeling baby moving and kicking.

Just enjoy it - time really flies once you pregnant!!!!!!!!

you pregnant for 40 weeks starting from the 1st day of your last period! This morning I had a slight brown when i wiped. Not red just teeny weeny bit of brown like on day 7/8 of your period when its all over..think thats ok?

BoB - Doctors generally take it from your last period but that is because most women don't know when they Ovulate. If you do know when you ovulated then it's more accurate....

how are u calculating how far along you are preggers?

is it from your last menstrual period or from ovulation ?

Justine I also think intuition from a mommy is sometimes right! I'm hoping to know gender, I know they sometimes take a guess at 12 weeks so we'll see if doc wants to gamble a bit at my next scan

its not particularly scientific of me, but i really believe that women may have intuition regarding the gender of their babies. i 'felt' last time i was having a boy and Ben was born. my friend also 'knew' she was having a girl and her DD Cara was born. so maybe it will be a boy-baby for you! with boys they can usually tell sooner on the scans. we knew Ben's gender at 13 weeks. personally i am hoping for a little girl this time around but feel in my heart that its another boy
