TaNasha, I will get an internal at 38 weeks, the midwife check if all is order. And then we do get checked during labour to see how far we are. My midwife only check when you get there and then she will only check again 4 hours later again, if you did not have your baby yet.

No time difference here(except in winter time), so I am also just a night animal who cant sleep. DH is snoring very loudly next to me and the poor man still has to work so I wont bother kicking him awake telling him he is snoring

I'm gonna try sleep... I'm struggling big time, and dear doc has taken me off my sleeping tabs finally, so I'm freaking out cause i only fall asleep at about 3am'ish

So nothing special from my midwife appointment, all is still well. Baby is still not engaged yet, so she told me if my waters break i need to lay down and call immediately.

I was also wondering whether you get internal exams in SA? I have not had any, so I was wondering how some women know when they are already like 1cm dialated?

I think the maternity photos might be abit too big, so I will try to load my 38 week bump photo, see if that works, and then I will stop taking over the thread trying to updoad photos!

Can't believe how soon some of these babas are going to arrive! Wow!

I had my midwife appointment this morning. My DH couldn't come with so my mom came instead. Was lovely for her to be able to hear the little monsters heartbeat and meet one of my midwives. All is on track and going well
Looking forward to Aug 1st when we see the gynae again and have a scan! Haven't actually seen LO for over 10 weeks so am excited!
