BoB how was your dr appointment?

I had a midwife appointment and scan this afternoon and everything is fine and E is still growing like a giant! The will not induce me though . She said they can give me a sweep at 40 weeks but thats it! And e is not engaged yet and she said for 1st time babies this should already have happened by 37 weeks otherwise it is an indication that she just wont fit. I also have a lot of amniotoc fluid, which she saids needs to be monitored but nothing to worry about. I googled this but cant find too much info on it?

I am getting so fed up and i just want my baby NOW! But I still have the feeling that she is going to keep us waiting- naughty baby!

Hi Girls

Sorry I been have MIA, it has been so hectic with the handover and finalising everything. Today is offcially my last day at work,my boss said I dont have to come in tomorrow (everyone in the office is convinced that I will deliver at any given moment) Im also walking funny,the girls are really heavy now.

I went to the doc yesterday and the girls weigh 2.3kg & 2.2kg. Really heavy. Doc said I must take it really easy. he also moved the c-sec date to 26 July, that really caught us off guard and DH was panic striken the whole day . I mean its only a week before the time .

I have been reading all the post but Icant do personals now.

Laliek - I hope all is well and as you said if its time ... its time !!! take it easy.

Laliek look after yourself
If you need to, you can time the pain and if it becomes closer to one another, then I think you have to give your doc a call
If you get in a bath and the pain goes away then it is not labour, but if it does not go away then, yes give your doc a call.

I am doing great, not much happening on my side
A is nice is busy now, much busier than she was

Just quickly popping in as I'm on my phone so I'll do personals later.

Second last day of work for me and I'm working from home today. Been having pain in my lower back and menstrual pain since early hours of morning. Keeping an eye on it and hoping contractions doesn't start. Although I'll be very happy if C decides to arrive (only if he's ready though)

Sorry I've been MIA - have been reading posts though

Wrt sleeping positions - I've got one of those wedges to keep him slightly raised up while on his back - helps with reflux etc (and possible chocking). Those wedges that keep baby on their side have actually been banned in the US...just a consideration. Although I know plenty of mom's who use them and they seem to work great.

Ankia - glad appointment went well. I see my MW next Tues...can't wait!

BoB - 2.3kg is a great weight - well done mommy!

Really hungry so off to the kitchen so hello to all you other lovely ladies! Glad everyone seems to be doing well!

Tanasha - I am sure your angel will not be so big, she knows mommy wants to do this natural and her growth will slow down.
I have heard an induction is sore, so you do not want to go that route, if you want her to come ask the midwife to do a stretch & sweep. Just remember, if baby is not ready and induction will not work!!!

Tracey, I believe on sleeping on the side, should baby bring up some milk and be on his back he can choke, so if baby is on her side then it will come out. William have slept on his side from the day he was born, until he could roll over.
But you can decide how you want to do it.

BoB - whoohoo on the 2.3kg that is a nice size

So I am doing fine, slept so good last night, Petrus got up for William, he had some sort of nightmare.
And it was the first morning in a long time that william did not cry when I dropped him off at school - it was such a great feeling.

Afm:went to dr app yest and glad to report that baby is
2.3kg now and all is well, the dr sed that I shud still take it easy
And not rush about cos he could feel that I was still getin
Contractions while he was doin the scan.

So gonna enjoy the rest....what little I can get with the
Restless nights and contractions.
