Firstly woohooo to Candi n all the ladies in our 3rd trimester...

My results will hopefully be out by end June , with Unisa u never know. Yup i had a freak out at the ward tour myself and its all like woosh the reality does hit ya.

Has anyone else been experiencing pain/cramps in the tummy , last night i has a really bad cramp/pain and it lasted for about 4 minutes and was really sore, and on the drive to work this morning i just ket getting uncomfortable feelings..maybe i should stop driving ??? but im just waiting for my Gyne's office to open so i can make an appointment...dont want to take anything for granted cos with my 1st preg i went into early labour at 7 months and they managed to stop the contractions and then lo and behold at 8 months my water broke... so not wanting that to happen ..

I booked my 4 d for the 2 June , so hope to upload some nice pics for you all.

I bought the MY Pregnancy magazine yest and thought it was a really good read, it had a pregnancy calender and little cute stickers to mark of special dates and places for pics of our preggi bellies ..really cute.

Will update after the dr app today, love to all

After Evening ladies :)

Tracey, gosh, the weather in CT has been urgh, and can't seem to make up it's mind, and when it decides to rain, it rains... :S glad you're ok, and so is baba!

Ankia, sending you massive massive hugs, gosh, you're doing well and being strong, which is the most important thing.

Skai, pics of the nursery??? would love to see! Where did you get your rocker or did you always have one?

DH wants to take a couch out the tv room when Z arrives, just to save on some money for a few months...

BoB - When will you get your results for your exams?

AFM: Friday, went to Durbanville Hospital for our "Ward Tour"

REALITY CHECK!!!!

Started freaking out [well inside mentally] Bob, i think you felt the same?

And listened to a nice chat from the hospital as well as ER24... they've got first aid courses! At an awesome price! And i'm seriously thinking about going to one.

I have to, if DH is away the whole time.

So I had a good cry and I am ready to tackle the new things that life is giving me
If I move the room around I will fit the cot and the chest of drawers in our room and she will sleep there until she is 4 months, by that time I hope we have moved and then we can settle her in her own room.
You guys are so right, I will make things easy for me with help and I do not have to worry about cooking and then William also will be happy

Hi Tracey! Sorry to hear about your accident! Glad you and baba are ok!

So cool how many of us on this thread are doing the hypnobirthing! :)

With regard to baby's position for birth....it's something I've researched A LOT! ;) And what I've discovered is that (other than for breech babies) the best time to do all the exercises to turn them anterior is actually once labour starts! Before then they turn so much and about 2/3rds of all posterior born babies actually started out in the correct position and then turned backwards during labour! I thought that was so interesting! Also takes a bit of pressure off ourselves to always be sitting and lying correctly ;) A lot of the success of one's birth really comes down to whether the baby tucks his head nicely etc...all out of our control. I found that rather comforting at least...

So for now i am happy to lounge on the couch in front of the tv and will get onto all fours when labour starts...hee :P

Hey everyone,

Hope you're all doing well :)

I was on the hypnobirthing course recently and we were told of a link: www.spinningbabies.com which tells you what you can do to get your baby to turn into the correct position (if necessary).
Just thought I'd share the link with all of you :)

I was in a little fender bender on Monday evening, with the first rains in Cape Town, it seems that it lifted some diesel or oil to the surface, and when I braked, my car wouldn't stop and I skidded into another car :( I was driving pretty slowly, so no injuries :)

Otherwise all is well and nothing to report on.

Have a great weekend :D

Hi everyone!

Ankia - Hapi is so right! And there are always positives to any situation - this way you'll have family help around if you need it in those first few difficult months. And moving is a hugely stressful thing so probably best not to undertake it at this stage in your pregnancy. The fact that William is also used to that environment is probably a good thing seeing as so much is going to change once his little sister arrives. One less thing to have to try and adjust to straight away...
You are, however, allowed a good sulking today! ;) Often helps one get the disappointment out of one's system...

Hapi - so glad you had a good scan! Fx that you get to see Teddy nicely at the next one! And so cool that your fears are gone and you can just be excited for meeting your precious girls! Yay!

Lalie & BoB - I am in complete admiration that you have been writing exams! It's more of an accomplishment that most people probably realize....baby brain and all ;)

Candi & Lalie - your scan pics are gorgeous! 3D pics are just so amazing! They really help make this whole journey feel that little bit more real.

Afm, I finished painting the nursery yesterday. It looks so much better now that it's painted in a light colour. And even though we don't have a cot yet, it's really starting to look like a nursery! I go in there every now and then and just sit in the rocker  hee

Hope everyone has a nice friday and a great weekend!
