Good morning ladies,

Claire, thanks for the advise. I'm so jealous of you going down to CT. I wish I was going! Enjoy. ;)

Someone mentioned vomefene for the nausea as well. I'll see what the chemist can give me. I guess I'm being "loyal" to the pregomega because I'm not eating well and I'm paranoid that I'll deny my peanut some great nutrition. I'll give my left nostril for the nausea to stop.

Who's next in line to go for a scan. We want to see more of those baby pics!

Hello!

I'm so excited, we're leaving for Cape Town tomorrow for 3 weeks! Cant wait but also a bit nervous because I feel so sick!

Kiara - my gp told me just to take Folic Acid Forte (it's in a pink bottle) for the first trimester. It has loads of vit b6 (which helps with nausea) and more folic acid than the pregomaga which is all that baby needs right now. The pregomega will def make you feel worse as it's quite strong. You can also ask the pharmacist for some tablets called ASIC. You can get them over the counter and they are specifically for MS. Stops you from vomitting. I would be dead if it wasn't for them. They take a few days to work though, so be patient. With my first pregnancy, my DH would always tell me MS was a good sign, meant the baby was healthy...then when it stopped...I thought the baby had died!!!

Chanz - I used bio-oil with my son and only got 2 stretch marks and the are so tiny you can't even see them (I got them in my last week of pregnancy - week 41 - my son was huge - 3.8kgs) I mixed it with aqueous cream to make it less oily and easier to spread.

Don't make the mistake I did ladies. I stopped using the cream after giving birth and then when my boobs swelled up on day 3, I got so many stretch marks! Keep using the stuff no matter what.

Elrike - glad you found a cure. Eating worked with my son, but not this time. Now if I eat I feel worse! :(

Chanz, I'm taking PregOmega Plus. It's getting harder and harder to swallow them though. I'm also taking progesterone and ecotrin as well, so it's not fun...

A friend of mine used the palmers tummy butter and she doesn't have a single stretch mark. It's important though to remember that genes play a role in weather we get them and how badly...

Good night ladies. Still battling nausea. :X

Hello ladies

I agree Elrike, keeping the room natural is a wise choice. Even if you had the money to redecorate later, its very tiring and by that time you will have a little one taking up your time.

@ Kiara are you using a preg vitamin and which one? I am also very tired but I do feel that the Pregomega Plus really helps. And if you lucky you can get one of the promo boxes that comes with a free stretchmark cream. If you eat small meals frequently that also really helps. And try eat healthy carbs with protein- your energy will last longer. And I am sure you know, no energy drinks or bars.

What do you ladies use for stretchmarks? I have tried that happy event lotion but its too greasy which i dont like. The preg creme or the elizabeth anne is really nice.

Claire that is a great idea about Junkmail. I popped on this morning and there definitely is quite a few bargains.

Oh we wanna know what we having so we cant wait for the scan that will show ;) We are way too curious. Besides it would be much nicer being able to buy blue or pink lol

So what else has everyone been up to?
