Good morning ladies,

Does anyone have ideas on how to overcome nausea and fatigue? I have to work but I can't keep my eyes open. I keep running to the loo to try and barf or eating up a storm to avoid the feeling. I have preggie pops, ginger tea, marie biscuits and ginger cookies...

PLEASE HELP!!!

It been a long time since the last time I've posted here! Good to see that everyone is doing great!! The ms is no better on my side.... Touch wood! I must just eat all the time, and I have terrible cravings for sausage rolls... It's better than having ms... Hope I don't pick up too much weight. With my first I only picked up 9 kg, and lost 8kg with the birth... Trust that this time will be the same!

Claire - I will not be able to keep the gender a surprise... Think I will go mad! I need to know! LOL This first few weeks is terrible, when you reach the 2nd trimester you start enjoying the pregnancy!!! I agree with you!

Kiara - Lovely pic of the little one!!!

Chanz - Don't think I will do the gender test of clicks.... Will wait for my 16 week scan to see the gender! Keeping it a surprise for a bit longer, but I'm thinking that this one is also a boy... But will see!!!

Joey - Keeping it natural is the best! Don't spend to much on furniture and decorating the room, because as soon as the LO get a little bigger you want to redo the room... And a baby don't stay that long a baby! I made my son's room a bear theme - decorate with wooden cut-outs, curtains is plain blue. Now I can change it to anything if I want! Did not buy a compactum - wanted to, but never did. I'm actually glad we didn't! I'm still using a plastic table to get Luwan dressed, and when he was small, I placed the bath on there as well. I had no problems.

Claire, the scan went very well. The baby measures exactly 7w and we heard the heartbeat for the first time. 140 bpm. I was priceless.

We definitely want to find out the sex, but we'll wait for the 17/18 week scan. We're not in a hurry to know. I think it's a boy though...

Chanz, we tried for 2 years after one mc, so this was a wonderful surprise. We've also been seeing a FS for a while and when we took a break, we got preggo without meds or intervention. It was a lovely surprise.

We haven't told anyone and will not until people can see the bump. We'll also start decorating the nursery at about 20 weeks or so. For now we'll just save the money for it.

Ug!! I hate these fist 15 weeks. Can't eat anything, just want to lie in bed and die. Keep reminding myself that this was my idea. Next time, I'm adopting!

Chanz, we bought most of our furniture from junkmail. You have to sort through a lot of rubbish but we found some awesome stuff. A brand new cot for R900, compactum for R1000. We had to fix up the compactum a bit, but everything else was like new.

If I had to do it again though, I wouldn't buy a cot. I would just have put baby in a campcot because then his bed, his comfort zone, is moveable and there's far less sleeping issues when you go away.

How did the scan go, Kiara?

I want to keep the gender a surprise but DH wants to know. Last time pushing my son out was really hard and I had no motivation. I'm thinking if I don't know the sex, that's pretty good motivation to PUSH!!!

Kiara and Joey, i must admit this excitement is not something you can easily explain to people. People usually only start getting excited when they see your bump.

Kiara I am also 7 weeks (almost 8 weeks), and we going for our 2nd scan on Friday. We can't wait. This might sound bad, but i dont wish my pregnancy away i just look forward to the 2nd trimester.
Joey where did you get the doppler from? DH and I were looking into that.

Have any of you ladies considered doing one of those gender tests from clicks? I think they cost 200.

So what do you ladies think you are having? DH thinks we expecting a girl although everyone says a boy. We did IUI so i suspect a boy. But you never know.

So were you ladies trying or did it just happen?

Joey, I wish I was 14weeks already. I'm only 7 weeks and I'm still nervous and excited at the same time.

When and how did you find out? Were you trying? How long? Oooh, and you'll be able to find out the gender soon! I'm really excited to go on this journey!

Doopler are so cool. I'm 14weeks today and heard the heartbeat at 13 week. and i'm also fat. lol
