Sicha I think it is awesome that you waited for the baby to choose the date.

Chanz I saw you have made it to 30 weeks. I am really so happy for you and wish you well during the next 10. ;) You really have done so well.

Mine was removed in theatre during the C-section at 39 weeks.

I wanted to have a natural birth but I couldn't because I had a myomectomy before. I had a fibroid which was 15cm in diameter right inside the uterus. According to my gynae since the fibroid was very big and right inside the uterus, it increased my chance of uterus rupture during pregnacy and esp if i had natural birth.
Since I couldn't have natural birth I told my gynae that I didn't want my baby delivered earlier than she wanted to come. So we agreed that I had to go the hospital as soon as I felt any contractions. So I went into natural labour at least and my baby chose her date of birth not me or the gynae.

My gynae tried to remove my stitch at 36weeks but my cervix had swollen so over the stitch because of the weight of the baby that he couldnt even find it, he said he would only be able to remove it in theatre so i opted for a c-section.

My gynae said he removes the stitch toward the end of 37 weeks (i've booked my app for bang on 38 weeks). He said 9 times out of 10 the waters break as the stitch is removed.

Hello Ladies

Quick question. When did you have your stitch taken out? And how soon after that did you go into labour?

Saw our gynae yesterday and he wants to take the stitch out at 36 weeks. I heard its not long after that then you go into labour. Bearing in mind my cervix has two openings. One was stitched and the other one wasnt.

Would appreciate the help :P
