Durbanville Medi-Clinic

Thanks so much for all your comments and help!! I am currently with Dr. Truter and I really like him!! Al you say about him is true. Really comfortable with him and he delivered one of my friends babies also in April this year, so she was my refferal!! I just really wanted to know about the hospital as I have never been in Durbanville Medi-clinic. Still do not know if I will be going natural or c-sec though!! At the moment my placenta is lying low, but Dr. Truter said there is a goo chance that it will move up before I go into labour and there is still 4 months to go! Really scared of natural though, because my cousin got stuck in my aunt, she almost died, if it wasn't for c-secs and my mother also had a emergency c-sec, because she didn't dilate! So I am quite scared the same will happen to me! Will what Doc says though!

Ha ha Nef that was different. Really thought you were on a different back road. I am talking about getting lost in the actual hospital. Okay so these days I just get lost.

The only problem is that I get really lost in Durbanville mc. Can never find my way out.

I am with Dr Truter and I LOVE him! A real peoples person! I have recommended him to a lot of friends and they are also happy!! I started vomiting violently at 18 weeks. It was a Sunday night and came out immediately. Got to the hosp almost as we did! He was also very supportive when I had my MC last yr.

I had my LG in March 2009 and all the staff was very friendly and helpful! Even when I went at 18 weeks when my appendix gave problems they were very nice. I can recommend both truter and durbanville!

I have heard only good things about Dr White and Dr Truter.

I teach HypnoBirthing in Durbanville which is an antenatal program specificallly focussed on natural birth.

There are FAR fewer gynaes supportive of natural birth in the Northern suburbs than in the Southern suburbs at the moment - but have hope for the future!

In the past year I have taught 100 women and have documented every birth outcome, including who their care provider was and where they gave birth - so feel fairly qualified to give an opinion on this!

I would say at DMC Lizette White, or Dr Truter are your best bet.. for natural birth that is..
