Woke up feeling very grumpy this morning.
I woke up at around 2am and just couldn't go back to sleep. My mind was just churning thoughts left right and center. Even the relaxation exercises didn't help...don't even know what time I slept.

Well, between the time I woke up and now, my spirits have once again lifted.

Just got news that a friend of mine's baby has to be delivered today due to complications. She's 26 weeks pregnant and her water broke on Wednesday.
I have to admit for a moment there I was scared for both her and the baby but I knew that I have to give her strength. When I looked at the situation and latched on to the silver lining, that her baby will be born today and with medical technology, she will survive.

I'm glad I did latch on to the silver lining coz I got her excited too, now I'm more excited as well and can't wait. Love babies!!!

Its my last day today....YAY!!! Just counting down the hours, literally.

*Prayer* May God be with you Olwethu my friend as your baby will be born into this world. May He protect you both and keep you safe in his arms.
In Jesus name....Amen

Thanks Jay, I'm already close to the hospital, can make it there in 15 minutes travelling at 60km, its that close.

*big sigh*
I know it will be alright.

((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))) I think a public hospital is a great back up, as they encourage woman to have natural birth. Maybe you should look for a place that would be few minutes away from the public hospital, so if you need back up you are closer.

DH is a very strict and fact orientated person. He's got little patience for emotions and likes to get right to the point. Because of this, its hard for me to fully express myself to him. He is not concerned about the frills of the emotions, wants to go straight to the meat of the facts.

So yesterday, he asks what contingency plan do I and my midwife have should I need to be transferred.
So I told him that no private OB/GYN would agree to back me up.....I have told him this before.......and that we will be using the public hospital as backup.

So this is his position, I and the midwife must find out which doctors are available at the hospital and get their numbers so that in an emergency, we phone them directly......mhm, how do I do that?

Now, what he said is valid but thing is he snapped at me. He was so short with me, didn't even want to listen to me trying to explain that in public hospital, its not easy to do this.

So now, I feel so alone again. I mean, he should be helping me with these things and kudus for him pointing this out. I'm trying to stay positive here and not allow the worst case scenarios to plague me, he's not helping.
I feel just helpless on the OB/GYN thing. And I cannot bring myself to start knocking on doors asking for them to help, no doctor will touch me with a light pole.
