Will do, I'm also on Whatsapp. I don't think you need to explain anything to your mil. You have done your research and you know what you are getting into. You know what risks you are prepared to take and know that the risks of what you are attempting is far less than the risks of another repeat c-section. Leave it at that, your head is in the right place. What I meant was that she will see for herself during or after the birth that you made the right choices for you and your baby and that you are not doing something that is dangerous. Trying to convince her at this stage would just upset you.

But like I said before, we are here for you. Just shout if you need support!!

I want to thank all of you who have been following my story and have been giving me such encouragement.
Really, I cannot tell you how much this means to me.

I do understand 100% where my MIL is coming from but right now, I don't have the strength to sit her down and tell her what I found through my research. You see, she was also a midwife....way back then and really, it will be hard for me to be with her in that space at the moment. So instead, I'll show her there's nothing to worry about, I will prepare myself well for the birth and I will do it!!

Thank you Hasie, I will make sure that you get live updates on the birth. I have Lindy's number from the Oct/Nov 2011 Mammas thread so I can update her on WhatsApp. You can also send me your number too so you can get the updates as well.

Thank you, thank you

Oh, Bulelwam, I'm rooting for you!!! Big time!! And hoping you gonna do a live moomie birth story for us. You must really get one of our cell numbers, then your hubby or doula can update us on how it goes and everyone can root for you and pray for you all the way. You've read mine, I must say that the amount of people I've never even met, who prayed or encouraged me did a lot for me and when I read that thread again, I get tears in my eyes every time.

I do understand where your mil is coming from as I'm sure you do too. She doesn't have the info that you have so she thinks she is helping you. But don't let her discourage you. You did your homework, and you did it well. You are prepared for this birth and you are ready to welcome every surge with calm and serenity. You CAN do this. You are going to have an awesome experience of focus and love. One where you are part of the birth instead of handing over control to someone else.

You are a strong women. And God has designed your body so wonderfully that you are perfectly made for birthing your baby on the date that your baby chooses to be ready.

I pray that you can genuinely relax and find piece within you and with your decision. When your mil sees how calm and easy it all is, she will be overcome with joy for you.

We are here for you, every day. Let us know how it goes.

Thanks Jay, I know she is worried and I have no ill feelings towards her. I just don't wish to see her or hear her worried. She has enough to deal with already and am worried about her. She takes everything personally and I'm sure she'll be having sleepless nights about me...shame.

But am not backing out at all.

Am almost there!!

4 working days left.......cant wait.

Kids are at grans so enjoying some alone time.

Had a call from MIL yesterday, she thought I was gonna have a C-section and when she asked when it was scheduled for I had to tell her I'm not going for an elective c.
Shame she got so worried, started telling me that I shouldnt and how dangerous it can be and.....
I got very depressed after that.
I understand that she doesnt want anything to happen to me or the baby but what she said just got me very down. Right now, I need people who are rooting for me to have a successful VBAC.

She's coming to EL on Sunday, I'm dreading seeing her. Am actually praying that the baby comes before that.

Anyhow, I told DH about it and he said I mustn't worry about what she says coz he is with me on this and no one else's opinion matters..... :woohoo: :woohoo:

12 days to EDD, lets see when this baby decides to come. ;)
