Hi Ladies,

I am feeling terrible. My nose is running, my throat feels like sand paper and i cannot stop sneezing. I also have a fever and a headache. To make matter worse yesterday my nanny calls me from the clinic and tells me she has TB.

So i ran home got the family and rushed to the doctor for testing. I called all the doctors i know asking for advise. In the end my GP sends to take the kids to the clinic today morning since they are susceptible. My Gynae says i don't have to worry because 3/4 of the people we come into contact with everyday have it and chances are DH & I will not get it.

The clinic put the kids on preventative meds for the next six months they will just monitor them on a monthly basis to see if they get symptoms. I had to give my nanny a break because she is contagious until 2weeks to 1month after meds then she is fine. So now i have to find someone asap to look after my kids. At least hubby is home in the mean time i could not take any more time off work.

Mosaneo, we get 4 months paid leave and u can choose to take 2 additional months unpaid. But I have about a month of annual leave so it means just 1 month unpaid. The great thing is they spread the deductions over 4 months so I still get some money in the last month.

I bought a bag from Calora 2 weeks ago. Great service and delivery. So I'd say its safe

Yes, I've heard of baby calora & have browsed their website many times. I think their website is pretty safe to buy from. It is a well known site & they won't have a physical address on their website as they are an online store. You obviously have to be cautious when buying online but this website is safe. I don't know if you've heard of 4akid but I'm an agent for Ally - she is the owner. She sells gorgeous things for babies, toddlers & small kids. You can view the products on www.4akid.co.za. I unfortunately don't have the catalogues on my work email, it's at home. The baby calora website also stock some of 4akid's products but they obviously a bit more expensive than buying direct from us.

Does any of you ladies know of a website called www.baby.calora.co.za? i want to buy a nappy bag from there but i am not sure about how safe it is because they do not have a physical address. They have gorgeous things.

How safe is it to buy things online?

Mandri, I also feel movements when I sit still or stand still but much more movement when I lie down. I think this lo just wants me to move around & rock him to sleep

Ms_S, I know the frustration of wanting to feel those movements but it will happen really soon. I think boys are much lazier than girls but this is also your 1st pregnancy & you tend to feel much later but you should start feeling something from 21 weeks on. Well, that's my guess

Regarding the gynae : You do what is best for you & baby & whatever gynae you choose, is your choice at the end of the day..

palesa, it really ticks me off that there are soooooo many gynaes out there that just want to do c-sections & all for the wrong reasons - more money for them & their day is planned out so to speak

Magz, sjoe, you gonna be off for a long time hey! Do you have alot of leave that you can take? I managed to take 4 months maternity leave & a month annual leave with my 1st pregnancy but I was also booked off about 2 weeks before I was due to start my leave as I had those stents in me & just couldn't manage anymore.
