Hello lovely ladies

Finally back at work…I was away on a team build/offsite for the past week. It was tons of fun but as usual you tend to eat waaaay too much. :silly:

At least I consumed less calories than I normally would since I was alcohol free. Lol! But I have to be honest…there was a night I could have really done with some wine…but I didn’t! My baby is more important than a glass of wine!

Mosaneo- I think all Netcare hospitals offer the R360 booking package.
I’m going to try work right up to the end. Not sure how one feels at the end but im guessing I’ll be too tired to drive into work at some point?
Guess I’ll be off from the 1st week in Nov, and back at work in May. The thought of going back to work and leaving my baby terrifies me, I think its my biggest worry at this point.

Mandri and momtoc- my baba is SUPER active. And he goes on for a while so DH also gets an opportunity to feel. I still cant get over the feeling.

Ms_S- I know what you mean about being a lazy cook. I love good food, and don’t mind cooking (as long as someone does the dishes ;) ), but these days I cant seem to drag myself off the couch for long enough to make my gourmet meals. I just end up making 1 pot meals. Dh is NOT impressed! Lol!

Palesa, hope you arent forced into a c-section. There are pro’s and cons to both but your Dr should never make that decsiion for you, unless it is an ABSOLUTE necessity.

Morning everyone

mosaneo, you definitely not the only one looking forward to maternity leave! I have about 10 days annual leave that I'll take mid November, so then I'll take my official maternity leave from 1 December, and go back only after Easter next year (Good Friday is 29 March). I'm sorry about the insomnia, I haven't experienced any so far, and hope that I never do. I love sleep too much.

Mandri, you so lucky the baby is so active! I haven't felt any movement so far, but dh claims he felt a kick the other night.

AFM I just made an appointment to see a gynae in cape town, a dr. Gaertner at Cape Town Medi Clinic. He accepts med aid, so I'm happy. My cousin was with him, and had lots of good things to say, he is pro natural. Dh isn't too happy, he wants me to go to Chris Barnard and see he's sisters' gynae. For some reason, I just don't want to go to the same gynae as my SIL.
Oh, and my MIL is arriving this wkend, she'll stay with us for 3 weeks. All I can think about is all the soup and pies she can make me cos I'm a very lazy cook.
