I know a few of the female gynies at EM also does births at Femina as they back up for the midwives unit. So maybe ask your gynie if she has birthing rights at Femina.

Many thanks! He came very highly recommended from friends & co-workers as well, but personally I just won't feel comfortable with a male Gynae... Lol!

Hubby & I decided to have a chat with my current Gynae on our next appointment (22nd) with regards to all our questions & concerns - she'll just HAVE to answer. But come end of that appointment I want to know what's going for what.

Mommies, me again... and I PLEASE need your assistance.

I want to go to Femina, but my Gynae is based @ Eugene Marais. With our first appointment, we asked if she also does births @ Femina, to which she replied yes. Yet since our last appointment she is now acting funny... She wants me yo go to EM, but both hubby and myself refuse to opt for EM after a horrible experience with my daughter (broken arm) at their emergency unit.

So I have now decided to look for a new Gynae. I refuse to stay with a gynae who wants to bully me!

Can someone here PLEASE refer a female Gynae to me @ Femina?

I've kept my next appointment with my current Gynae, as it is in 2 weeks time and I doubt I'll get an appointment at a new Gynae before then.

If someone can please advise on names for me.

Thank you mommies!!!!!!

Thank you so much Maries! Would love to have some more info on Femina, as their website doesn't reveal any "inside info"... Guess I will only be able to get this from mommies who's actually been at the hospital.

Hi LouiseMarie

My hubby took pics of my csection and a video of some parts. They were not fussy in theatre.

All the best with your pregnancy....

Hi Ladies

My LO is due in November and I'm also considering Femina (first opted for Eugene Marais, but unfortunately after an horrific emergency incident with my daughter (5) there, I refuse to have my baby there).

I will have to have a C-section again due to small pelvic and my first daughter being born @ 4kg

I was @ Pta East with my first, but unfortunately my gynae no longer does OB and we've moved away from the east.

A question I however have on Femina, is - do they allow photographs of the birth?! We had the most amazing photos of my daughter being born via emergency C-section and I want the same photo's of baby #2. And no one seems to be able to answer this fro me...?

Hope someone here that's been there is able to advise :)
