Mr Price, Ackermans and Baby City for the blankets. I also got my mum to get me some cute stretch cotton fabric (like t-shirting, but thinner), from the fabric store, and get those made up to use as receiver blankets.

I have not worn make-up in ages as my base is all finished, but I can’t bear going to a shopping centre and having to find a type that I like!

The baby shower will be great. Just ask her to take it easy on the games, etc, and rather focus on food and socialising!

Hhahah you think when I wanted to go shopping he didn’t want to and now that he wants to I don’t want to lift myself from the bed hehehe.

Same here, the only make up I am wearing at the moment is eyeliner and mascara the heat is too much for base.

I have asked her to not play any games I will be almost 33 weeks and if I feel any more uncomfortable then now I would just be grumpy hahaha. But I will go out there and enjoy the shower regardless. I should stop being like this lol

It’s bad and then you get the banks who does not work according to deadlines they work like they want to. But anyhow not long anymore, then my boss is going overseas and I can chill, he will be back a week before I go on Maternity whoop whoop

My husband was the same until one day he chatted to his friend who is a new father, now all of a sudden he wants to buy and spend like crazy.

I have seen nice blankets at Woollies as well but they are a bit too pricey. Shame man I agree how do you say to your daughter it’s time for her to share.

No I am not I worked it out nicely, My last day would be 4 March and baby is due 21 March so I will have 2 weeks to chill before being a mom. Taking in the single life with hubby.

Nope they won’t replace me my boss is very difficult and he refuses to get someone. I am busy with flights for him and his wife etc so they will go on holiday and he will ask one of the PA’s to assist when he needs assistance.

my husbands sometimes doesn't realise that we have to go out and buy this stuff!
He thinks alot of stuff can just be re-used but I know my daughter aint going to be too thrilled about her blankets being used for the new baby, etc! As it is, she opened the dummy we bought for the new baby and put in her mouth- "see my new dummy"!
Mr Price has some pretty blankets, and you will definitely get some at the baby shower.
Ill go and have a look at the end of the month, waiting for all the tourists to leave before going to a shopping centre. Since falling pregnant, I cant stay in there for more than 45mins though!

you need to relax!! I understand the attention thing though, I'd rather have a little get together after the baby is born, so the attention is on the baby! but getting a newborn baby anywhere on time..........

Dont take maternity leave early, you will get extremely bored! except the stress of work is highly frustrating.
Make lists, its the only way to manage. Is there a replacement while you are away?

Oh my that’s nothing at least you’ve got the big stuff that cost a lot of money. I would be pissed as well, but I am sure he didn’t mean it like that. The winter clothes are only getting packed out now, so stop stressing it’s not good for baba.

I went to Ackermans and Edgars and got some long and short sleeve vests, and some new born stuff, I am sure I will get loads at the baby shower. I will only go and get whatever I don’t have after the shower. (I actually do have a lot of clothes and nappies but not blankets)

I don’t like attention and I am very picky with things, so if I don’t like it, it will be a mess and I don’t want people to feel bad because I am picky. Weird I know

Don’t even go there I am also stressed at work I wish I could go on early maternity leave but then there is so much work that needs to get done before I can go. Shame man I really hope you get in some sleep.

its always easier in theory to save than to actually do it!
i think I have 2 babygrows, and a muslin blanket. We ordered a new car seat, my daughter is still using her one. We have the pram and cot from my daughters time, and I still have a few receiver blankets.
And nothing else!!
I am beginning to panic a little! My husband keeps telling me I dont need to buy anything. His sister's daughter is 3 months old, so she will give us everything. And anyway most of her stuff is for summer!
It is actually pissing me off! I really dont want to be prissy about this though!

Why are you not looking forward to the baby shower?

I did not get any rest, I am stressing about work, and just could not sleep!

Hi Maj - That's a plan. If u start now u might end up not having everything or spending to much over a small period of time.

I have so much stuff it's crazy. I found out when my baby shower will be and I am not looking forward.

Well I think u should have one done it's amazing and we fell in love with his little face and we are even more excited now.

Me to hey I can't handle it anymore. It's constant and irritating.

Shame man that's not good, I hope u get some rest in this week and tonight a weekend can stuff up ones week.
