Hi Babydreaming
I have had heartburn from first trimester, at first gaviscon helped back then, but now at 29 weeks (3rd trimester) gaviscon helps for a like 5 mins!!!
I find that when baby is most active or pushing near my upper stomach I have most heartburn, at night but it does come one during the day, at night it gets so bad my chest hurts, feels like a heart attack, but it's the reflux rising, yuck yuck. I found that tea, bread and thing with too much sugar seem to aggrevate the heart burn for me.
At night so far all that's helping is eating 3 hours before I intend to fall asleep, I only have a giant glass of cold milk (no sugar before bed), and drink milk if I wake up with hunger pangs, and I have to sleep with two pillows that prop my head up, keep me elevated to prevent the reflux rising.
thanks for starting the thread, hope my experience helps a bit.
