I wanted VBAC (natural after c sec)but it looks I will be going c again coz my baby is big @ 17 weeks she was already weighing 275g.

Welcome to all those who have just joined us on moomie.Buying I havent bought anything yet but want to buy 2 packs of newborn nappies and a blankie coz allthe nice ones are sold in winter.

Take care Ladies

Sjoe i'm quite exhausted! Had a weekend of cooking. I've been quite lazy this past month or two when it comes to supper - never have inspiration so don't know what to buy at shops and so don't have food at home so don't know what to cook and am generally lazy to cook lately. So that has resulted in fair amount of takeaways which i don't generally i like eating often.

so this month i decided to be more organised and so decided to do a weekend of cooking big batches of stuff and freezing (i bought freezing containers a while ago so can freeze nice double portions (for DH and me) and label and then just take out the freezer, remove lid and stick in oven!)

So Saturday was spent making chicken pies - a long process, tends to take an entire afternoon. And Sunday so far I've made mincy macaroni cheese, normal macaroni cheese and butternut, spinach and ricotta lasagne. I still want to make chicken and broccoli bake as well before calling it quits for the day. Wanted to make normal lasagne as well but think that'll have to wait for another day - am feeling totally pooped! (but quite chuffed with myself!)

so at the moment we have 13 homemade ready meals in the deepfreeze and after making the chicken and broccoli bake it should be at least 15 and once i finally get around to the lasagne hopefully i can get it up to 18 - which means more than half the month's suppers are taken care of! :D [I also bought a fair amount of braai meat so DH can take care of a couple of weekend meals !)

Hi ladies,

I am 21 weeks now and would just to like to know if im the only one who feels tired its like I need 3 hours sleep extra a day.
Other than that I am fine. whose DH think its funny that u want to sleep or need to sleep so much or get upset that u sleep so much? Mine gets upset with me now because I fall asleep while watching a movie with him and I never used to.! Whats wrong with me he always wants to know and if I say im tired he says of what.

But loving feeling the kicks though some are soft still makes me light up. Cant wait for my FA on wednesday.

OMW Huggles, you had me in stitshes with that story about the pram. In the end you were happy with you purchase, and that's all that's important.

Makaozie, like Huggles said, it depends on you. We've decided to not go out and buy new "big" things for the new arrival. But I have now decided I will put some effort in in decorating the room. We have a 3 bedroom house, so the guest room will double up as her room. But I want to make it look like her room, without it being too much "baby"-like. Been to Mr Price yesterday, they have the CUTEST nursery stuff. I am really trying very hard to not buy to many things as yet. Don't know how long I would be able to do it. As for clothes, etc there's normally an outfit, socks or vests in the mix everytime I buy something for someone else.

But how do you ladies feel these days? Must say, I'm feeling good. feeling baby move is just amazing. Big brother can't wait to feel her as well. I am however struggling with a terrible headache more like a migraine, since Thursday. Paracetomol not making hte slightest difference and my gynae just told me I can't use anything else. Just hope it will go away today.

Seeing this little munchkin again on Thursday, wll keep you posted.
Enjoy the weekend

It's totally up to you when you start buying stuff.

we bought 3 little outfits shortly after finding our we were pregnant (around 5 weeks!). But we've only started getting the bigger things (like the pram) now - 19 weeks.

My friend on the other hand is only getting her cot and pram etc this weekend and she's already 30 weeks!

We decided though that financially it's easier to spread the buying over a few months. But we decided to wait with all the smaller things until after the baby shower (clothes, new born nappies, toiletries) cos you get a lot of that stuff at the baby shower. But the bigger purchases and the bigger sizes of nappies we've already started buying (i try buy one pack of nappies a month - size 3 or 4 or higher).
