Mommys to be in SEPTEMBER 2010

yes last schlep at 36 weeks. this week I will enter 37 weeks.

my parents did not see my preggies, when they came up I was flat at 5 months, so now mom got to feel her kick too. was just for two nights and back yesterday. both set of parents saw me, so that was the main thing, so I am happy now

only going to go on leave from the 23..... took 4 working days off before due date. i will go for a check up next week 38 weeks again and then 39 and then one day before she is due if she has not arrived yet.... works out to be with the weekend, 7 days off. thinkg its okay

jus want to have longer time off with baby

so its just two more full weeks of working and 3 for her to arrive

she must just hang in there

how you doing ? loving being at home and baby ?

Congrats makaOzie, your baby weighed the same as Liwa.
Yah the csection wears you out, except I felt much better after
wards this time around. Liwa also cried when they took her
out it sounded like she was really annoyed shame.

I have today and its still sore so I took it off.

Wow Sher still travelling long distance? The coast is nice though we will also be going down at the end of September. Your turn is also
nearing though. If I may ask why dont u take your maternity leave from 37weeks coz baby can come anytime from then?

AFM I am suffering from back pains, dont know whats wrong coz with my LG I never had any. So I am still on pain killers until it gets better. Liwa is asleep, really need to train her coz she sleeps longer during the day and at nite she wants to eat...eat..eat and do no2

I am entering my 37 week.... 3 weeks to ML

we went to see our folks downt the coast on the weekend and got back yesterday at 5pm.... into jhb work traffic

was awesome but today at 4am when it was time to get up, I was tired....but all good and oh my urine test came back yest and I have Strep B.... infection so got to take anitbiotics from this evening....slight one...

Finally my turn came yesterday. My baby was born @15.50 weighing 3.7 kg (via c-sec)
Felt amazong hearin her 1st cry while they took her out.
M jus tired nw, wl write a full story when I feel better.
M just tired of these pain killer injections m gettin every 4 hrs.

Baby Liwalam Zimbini Madikiza was born on the 2nd of Spetember 2010 @ 18:25 weighing a whooping 3.7kg. She latched easily as is the sweetest baby during the day as she eats and sleeps.

The op went well even though mommy was as nervous as hell. My scar is also healing well but this time i have to take my painkillers religiously or else it gets really sore dont know why. With my LG after I left the hospital I didnt really have to take painkillers.

The staff at Fourways Life were amazing, I was even lucky enough to get a VIP pvt room for no extra charge because their other ward was full. Will post pics when I get time. Would love to post my births tory but I am lazy, will do so during the course of the week.

To the ladies still waiting hang in there, it will be over in no time.
Please also use nipple cream before baby is born that also helps a lot, it has helped me, no cracked nipples this tym around.

Sher I met Dr Pillay she is so young but very nice and professional. She did my checks coz my Dr is away. I am glad I chose Fourways Life. The only thing thats not really nice is their food, Netcare food is nicer than life food. Service wise 4ways was the best for me.

KerryA- sorry sweety... but yeah i think you did just need to let it out, and i've been told that its completely ok to do so!thanks for the bath tip tho, with being 22 and having a baby, i tend to learn new things every day lol

as for me, went doc on sat, am 39w3d today and still no sign of baby. he weighed 3.4kgs... doc says he wants to do an internal on me tomorrow (yikes)... and then induce me on thursday. he says his afraid of the fluid drying up or something of the sort.... i'm afraid tho... Also, friday is Eid(for those of you that don't know, eid is a day of celebration after the fasting month), so if i go in on thursday, i'm going to be spending it in hosp and not with my family which kinda sucks, but baby and his health comes first!!!!

What i did, that helped me is a few things... first during the day she's not in the room... very important to make two seperate environments... second the bath... i moved it to 7... after that it's bed time... and last... leave the light on... dim but on in the room. after that theres not much you can do but keep her active during the day... But only keep her awake for a few minutes after each feed, when she starts niggling let her sleep or you will suffer

oh and the bath was also a scream session until i read that babys like water and want to be submerged... she was crying for more water... so now i make the water pretty full and she loves it... i can take as long as i like to bath her without even a moan. oh and i am making the water about two degrees warmer then our bath thermometer says... fancy that. still okay on the wrist though

had a crying moment on friday night... puppy had been acting up ll day and wanted attention... come 18:00 baby got soo terribly niggly and was crying the house down... and just as i settled her at 8... the darn kids across the road kicked their soccer ball into our electric fence for the millionth time... and set off the house alarm. OOH i was so angry because baby woke... i refused to give back the kids ball... hubby fixed the fence and turned off the alarm but the damage was done... finally half an hour later i got her settled in her bed... then i looked at the dog and just knew i had to do something... so i ran her a bath in the baby's bathroom... and washed her like i do the baby.... she loved it and finally calmed down... phew... at this point i commented... finally everyones had a piece of mommy... now can mommy have five minutes to...

and hubby.... very innocently, not realising i was at breaking point joked " what about me?"

well i was in tears...

but i felt better after so i guess i just needed to let it out huh?
