Hi moms

So finally caught up, in between the unnecessary work I had to do  thanks to the fools that don't get proper confirmations first grrrr

Anyway let's see what I can remember.

Nelria I am so thrilled to hear you guys are doing so well. Xen is so adorable and wow I'm so pleased to hear that Lea is adapting so nicely. Hope it all continues to go so good.

Helen congrats on the new house again :) Wishing you guys lots of love & happiness there. You are right moving is a huge deal, my cousin talked me out of it while pregnant saying too much stress ...

Mandy Shrey is the complete opposite to Cam when it comes to weekend naps. Weekdays he sleeps 1 - 2 hours but weekends he has one long sleep mid morning and late afternoon he has another 1 - 1&half hour nap ... enough time for mommy to relax a bit :cheer:

Nicole hugs sweetie. Hope your grans does start to feel a but better. I know how stressed and unsettled you must feel but just try to stay as positive as you can.
Cute re trouble

Vix sorry that your sister is going through a rough time at home ... hope you get to speak to her in private.
Glad that C has adapted so well to his big bed. Hope that gets you many more nigths of good sleep.

Simone hope Addy is getting over her vuvuzela fear ... hope she is sleeping better now as well.
Got any studying done this weekend?

Now that's all this highly strung brain can remember....

AFM we had a relatively good weekend, everyone around me is gone soccer mad which I haven't started minding yet.... Shrey slept well but probably due to going to bed later than usual. I think this world cup month is going to be exhausting ... last match at 8 means we can only sleep at 11ish lol.
I finally got myself a decently priced Brazil shirt. Can't wait to wear it in Dbn when they play Portugal.
Got Shrey a little vuvuzela from Woolies. Had to open it in the mall so that he would stay in his stroller. Was so cute blowing it in response to the cashier at Totalsport blowing hers.
Little bugger is repeating almost everything we say now so got to be so careful and stringing together a couple words to make very short sentences :) Oh and he loves dancing now too, unfortunately he insisted I dance with him when mil & sil popped in yesterday lol.

Simone- before I forget again, I was reading my optimum nutrition book and read about Vitamin deficiency and it's side effects. Apparently Biotin is particulally importanrt in childhood for a number of things but also promotes healthy skin hair and nerves. They say deficiency signs are among others, dry skin, eczema and dermatitis and poor appetitie. I suddenly thought of Addy's skin problem, I know it's not eczema but it could well be dermatitis. Maybe it's worth a try to get a Biotin supplement and see if it helps at least until your appointment with the dermatologist. It's also found in Cauliflower, lettuice, peas, tomatoes, oysters, grapefruit, watermelon, sweetcorn, cabbage, almonds, cherries, herrings, milk and eggs but even on a balenced diet they still recommend a supplement. Maybe worth asking your pharmasist at least?

WRT Iron, we all presume iron is best found in red meat and leafy greens.... Actually the best sources are Pumpkin seeds, parsley, almonds, prunes, cashew nuts, raisins, brazil nuts, walnuts, dates, pork, cooked dried beans, sesame seeds and pecan nuts! I was very surprised but now I now what to eat instead of beef and spinach. I really enjoyed reading this section, I learned so much.

If you have a terrible addiction rto sweet foods you want to stop (ie, if on diet) you're probably suffering a deficiency of Chromium, it will normalise hunger, reduce cravings, balance blood sugar, improves life span and essential for hearty function.

Vitamin E helps wound healing and improves fertility so I think I must get some for after the C-sec but abtein from the ooo la la LOL

Selenium is essential for male fertility! So those who want babies pump DH full of selenium.

Sorry, one last one:

Zinc is important for growth, healing, hormone control, lower stress, promotes healrthy nervous system and brain especially in a growing foetus, aids bone and teeth formation, blooming hair and essential for constant energy. So from what I can gather an absolute essential to our health.
Deficiency signs of Zinc amazingly are: poor sense of taste/smell, white marks on more than 2 fingernails (I was always told that was a calcium deficiency) stretch marks!!!!, acne or greasy skin, low fertility, pale skin, tendancy for depression and loss of appetite.

One thing I will definately be taking now is the zinc, I had no idea but I suffer nearly all those symptoms! I will also feed my teens full of it so they don't get stretchgmarks like I did through puberty.

Hi ladies.

Nelria, I'm so happy Xen is such a good baby! :) It's so good that you've got him into such a great routine. The twins were also on a 4 hourly routine from birth and they were also very easy babies.

Helen, hope all the house stuff comes together soon! :)

Zee, My birthday is the 16th. My colours are red, orange and pink. Very Bollywood! :P

Vix, your stepmom sounds like a complete and utter nutcase (no offense). People like that really get to me and I get overly upset. I mean, who does she think she his. YOUR FATHER'S children? So they're not her own? She did not give birth to them? I mean how ridiculous! Shame, it will be nice if you can speak to your sis without her finding out!

Mandy, I'm also quite strict with the twins but because there's 2 of them I can't risk the one freaking out too much coz the other will wake up. So we tend to them quite quickly if they are crying, not moaning though. If we were in our own place I would also leave them but my dad gets upset when we just leave them. He says we apparently sat with them until late at night and we never were just left to cry. My response was that I can see that. I slept in their room until I was 12 and my brother slept in my dad's bed until he was 16!! lol

Ok, need to go to the shops now. Need to go get all the stuff for my bday. It's going to be so expensive!!! I need 3kg of deboned lamb and 2kg of deboned chicken thighs! Then a ton of cream and chocolate for the choc mousse, cake stuff, etc. etc. etc. Oh and I need vodka for the welcome cocktails. Oh goodness! Well let me get the twins to bed and get myself ready! Speak later!

Hello Hello Hello!

I am back in the land of the living :) I have missed you all stacks! We finally moved in yesterday and are slowly getting ourselves settled. Mission Impossible with Oliver running around lol.

Haven't had access to a computer over the last couple of weeks, I've basically been skiiving off work for the last two weeks, so haven't been able to use the work PC. Our bosses wouldn't give Theo timne off so they've kind of turned a blind eye to me not being here, thank goodness as it meant we were able to get painters, tilers and carpeters and cleaners in. I used our friends computer a couple of times to try and catch up a bit but I think its going to take me a month of Sundays lol! And I couldn't reply on her computer, for some reason I'd always get an error :S

Otherwise we are well, the house is looking loads better with new tiles and carpets although I'm having a fight with both tiler and carpet fitter, grrrr. Carpet fitters have put a really shitty join in the middle of Oliver's room where they should have used just 1 piece of carpet as the room is small enough (the baby's room is exactly same size and they managed 1 piece there) and tiler has gone AWOL with one room still to complete (luckily its the domestic's (which we are turning into a guest room) and we didn't pay him for it but its annoying all the same). I wish people would just do the job they're paid for without a fight. Anyway enough of that ;)

Oliver has been a bit of a handful the last week or so but I think its because there has been so much going on so its hardly a surprise, he was already better behaved when we were unpacking yesterday so hopefully he'll settle down again once we're a bit more settled. They can definitely sense when things are up. Theo and I have also had our fair share of disagreements in the past couple of weeks so that probably hasn't helped. The experts aren't wrong when they say moving/buying a house is one of the most stressful things you can do as a couple!

Nelria - A massive congratulations on the new addition to the family, he looks so content and certainly sounds it too! Enjoy it and long may it continue! Lea sounds adorable and like she's coping nicely as well ;)

Anyways, I shall try and catch up today in between attempting to do some work lol ;)
