Hi ladies

Just a quick pop in to let you know that I was discharged yesterday. They couldn't cut the mole out as it is still a bit swollen so they will do it next week. Otherwise I am good.

Nelria, I am so glad you are not in hospital anymore and glad that Boeta is staying put. Take it easy girl, only a couple more weeks to go.

Julz, we also had problems with Cole last night and just as he fell asleep the lightning and thunder came..needless to say we were watching "Happy Feet" at 5:15 this morning.

About moaning babies, Cole will cries for EVERYTHING and he even does the whole "stop breathing and turning blue" thing when he is really bad. I have noticed though that he only plays these games when DH is around and he know that I just leave him until he decides to stop moaning.

Pfairy, can you send me one of the kits too. I will send you my postal address on FB.

Rotten luck...cynthia is sick! So I thought I'd rest today but now I need to keep Addy with me and let cynthia finish early...i'd prefer her to get better at home asap.

Lelani I do that with him. I think he is looking for attention and he should get it too. I sat down with him last night and we played with his wooden blocks which helped alot. I guess they get bored quickly. Shame man. He is also pa vas at the moment. grrr

I also thing he moans when tired. I guess they don't know how to communicate at the moment so get frustrated.

I will try and do what you say more.

Last night at the shop I just held him tight and told him its all okay and he calmed down. Calm mommy = calm kid.

Lelani that sounds like a good plan ... will definitely give it a go ... you're right though will require lots of determination.

julz, I got a new breakthrough with the moaning...ok, I only starter last night, but I was so happy & me zian had such a good eve...which last happened when he was prob still new born...lol
dh keeps telling me to coomunicate with him, & i keep getting frustrated coz that's what I do all night long, but from the moment I pick him up from school until I put him down to sleep, he would moan, scream, moan, cry * moan some more....I actually got worried that I might hurt him at some point coz it drove me absolutely crazy

so I did some research & practice....

when he moans, stop what youre doing, ask him to look you i n the eye quite sternly, but not shooting ( thats what i did )
you might even need to bend down for this...
when you've got his attention tell him that youre not happy with him moaning & that youre busy with his food for eg. & that if he keeps moaning that he;ll go to the naughty corner....all with a good stern voice while looking him in the eye

i was shocked, coz after i did that zian just looked at me with these big eyes (prob shocked...hehehe) & waited for his food....everytime he made a sound that sounded like a moan, I would again tell him to look me in the eye & again a stern NO...

i practised this the whole night....took alot of dertimenation, but every time I did it, he would listen...even at bath time...every single night it would be a fight, cry, moan, smack, shout to get him out the bath, but when I got his attention & he looked me in the eye, I told him it's time to get out now, coz we need to get dressed my lil man shocked me completely & stood up with his arms in the air so I could take him out

even getting dressed was so much more of a loving experience
it took a while longer coz i needed to stop & get his attention & explain things, but in the end mommy & baby was happy chappies

hope it will last & that I keep at it, coz it was so much better then fighting with him all night

Julz Shrey is a moaner but only at times ... I find the best thing to do is distraction ... not always easy but we get there. Hope Dylan gets over this phase soon xxx

Pfairy hope you feel 100% soon. Lol @ Xander putting tv on so early in the morning ... when Shrey is old enough to wake up and do that I am disconnecting the tv in the room

Lelani sorry to hear about pressure problem. Hope new meds work fast but also that you reach goal weight soon so that you are back to your normal healthy self xxx

So dh & I going to make a plan to see the developers for new place hopefully this weekend. Glad that I didn't hear anymore about house with granny flat and he seems to have accepted all my concerns
